How FanDuel, sports leagues ensure the integrity of games remains intact

FanDuel CCO Mike Raffensperger joins TheStreet to discuss how the company and sports leagues are able to keep the integrity of games intact.

00:07 How do you ensure to fans and to bettors alike that the integrity of the game still remains

00:12 intact?

00:13 For anyone who may be a little bit skeptical, understanding that the leagues like the NFL

00:17 were skeptical themselves for so long until this kind of switch went off a few years ago,

00:21 and now it seems as if the league is all in.

00:23 Yeah, look, we deeply appreciate our official partnership with the NFL, the NBA, the MLB,

00:29 and you're right, they were skeptical, and for good reason.

00:31 And frankly, one of the reasons I'm such a proponent of legalized, regulated sports betting

00:37 is because we take things like integrity quite seriously, and we have very active protocols

00:41 in partnership with the NFL to monitor it, versus prior to legalization in the United

00:45 States, I will simply say your local bookie or some of the offshore accounts that people

00:50 are illegally sort of running and many, many, many hundreds of billions of dollars of handle

00:55 were run through them.

00:57 They did not have partnerships with the NFL where they were trading betting information

01:00 to look at integrity concerns.

01:01 That's something that we do all the time, and is a huge part of, again, why we value

01:05 our partnership with the league and why I believe regulated sports betting is the right

01:09 path for America.
