00:11 depression. The peer-reviewed journal Pharmacopsychiatry published the study, confirming
00:17 the patients showed significant improvement using medical cannabis without any severe side effects.
00:24 The findings also reported a significantly reduced rate of their depression in regards to severity.
00:30 The researchers wrote, "Patients reported a clinically significant reduction of depression
00:34 severity. Medical cannabis was well tolerated and dropout rate was comparable to those in clinical
00:40 trials of antidepressant medication." Forbes reports depression is often treated with
00:46 antidepressants and mood stabilizers. And with further research, perhaps medical cannabis could
00:52 be an alternative treatment for chronic depression.
