00:00 Hi, I'm Adam and this is Time Melters, a strategy, hero defense, indie game. We're
00:07 gearing up for our 1.0 release on Steam and I wanted to share with you some of
00:11 the new and improved features from our early access, along with a mechanical
00:16 overview of the entire game. As you can see, we completely overhauled the UI. It's
00:21 a lot more clear what is going on now, especially for colorblind people. Time
00:27 Melters is about layering your strategies together over multiple
00:31 timelines. This group of bonewalkers is a little too big for me to handle on my
00:36 own. We only have one HP in Time Melters after all, so when we get hit we actually
00:42 go back in time and an echo is created. This echo is a past version of yourself
00:46 from another timeline and with our fully deterministic system it will recreate
00:51 exactly what was done previously and as long as we do not intervene things will
00:56 play out exactly the same. At any time you can press tab to enter a strategic
01:02 view. As we hover over groups it shows you all kinds of information about them.
01:07 Specifically though, it shows if they will or should have died. To better help
01:12 illustrate this, we've added X's over the heads of enemies that our echoes will
01:18 kill in the future, as long as we do not intervene. Fighting alongside your past
01:24 self is one way to interact with a previous timeline. Let's skip ahead now
01:28 and watch what happens in the next timeline when we interfere with our echo.
01:34 Minimizing what we call time distortion plays a key role in the success of a
01:39 level. An exclamation point is added over the heads of enemies in place of the X to
01:46 tell the player something went wrong. It's up to the player to use all this
01:51 information effectively to minimize time distortion and get the most out of their
01:55 echoes. Time plays a huge role in Time Alters and we hammered that fact home
02:03 throughout our very dynamic campaign. We wanted to make sure that no two levels
02:08 ever felt similar, so you're always learning new spells and abilities,
02:11 evolving old ones, playing around with new mechanics, or getting perks to better
02:16 shape the gameplay to your style. For version 1.0, we're releasing an improved
02:21 version of the opening five missions to give a better, more fluid first-time user
02:26 experience. Story, action, intrigue, all from the very beginning. Time Alters also
02:32 includes a full two-player co-op campaign with a friend's pass, so you
02:37 only need one copy to play with a friend. We'll be including more languages like
02:41 German and Italian at launch, a new speedrun mode with community leader
02:45 boards, new challenges, and Steam achievements. We also added controller
02:50 support with the reworked UI to help with the users on the Steam Deck and for
02:54 our coming soon PlayStation 5 release. That's right, Time Alters is also
03:00 releasing on console. Version 1.0 will be available on Steam February 28th. Thank
03:07 you for watching!
