Police crush e-scooters in crime crackdown

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary is warning users of illegal electric vehicles not to expect them back when confiscated - because they will be crushed.

00:00 So we're here today to crush a number of electric vehicles that we've seized that have been

00:07 used in crime and antisocial behaviour and have been used dangerously on the roads.

00:22 These are the kind of vehicles that are doing the most harm in our community.

00:25 These are quite high value vehicles so our new approach going forward is when we seize

00:31 these, the owners don't get them back, they will be destroyed and therefore we'll take

00:35 away the means for committing these offences.
