The killers of Brianna Ghey have been pictured and named for the first time as they are sentenced for the murder at Manchester Crown Court. Her sixteen-year-old assailants were only known as Girl X and Boy Y, due to laws granting children anonymity in court. But, due to the 'exceptional case' the two can now be identified as Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe.

Next - new figures show nearly two dozen Liverpool schools are in financial deficit. The Association of School and College leaders said government investment has "failed to keep pace with rising costs", warning deficits will harm pupils' education.

And finally - a look at national pass rates for driving test centres found Liverpool is one of the hardest places for learner drivers to get their licence. Speke test centre has the worst pass rate in the country with only 29% of people coming away successful, according to AutoExpress.
