00:00 Hello, my name is Leanna Jacob, the Search and Trends writer at the Yorkshire Post,
00:03 and here are the top four headlines for today.
00:06 A woman from Leeds went missing yesterday as West Yorkshire Police are appealing for information.
00:12 Molly Garbert was last seen driving in her black Benelt Clio, wearing pink leggings,
00:19 a velvet thigh-length coat and white boots. Anyone with information as to her whereabouts
00:26 or anyone who believes they may have seen her are urged to contact the police.
00:31 An inspirational woman who for years was bullied for her appearance and learning disability
00:36 is now a high-flying model. Leeds-born Laura Shaw, who now works as a freelance model,
00:42 was dubbed ugly and thick by her peers at school and was told by her teacher that she wouldn't get
00:48 far due to her disability. These comments have now served as motivation for Laura to pursue her
00:55 dreams of being a model and she is now featured on billboards and at fashion shows. She originally
01:01 wanted to be an actor but began modelling in 2020 and fell in love with it. Laura has now modelled
01:07 at fashion shows in Leeds and has been to Boohoo events but still struggles with trolls telling her
01:14 she is a fake model. However, she is also regarded as an inspiration for people.
01:20 LNER is set to place hundreds of thousands of tickets on sale for summer this year, following
01:25 a very popular year in 2023 when more than 6 million journeys were made between June and August
01:31 last year. These tickets will help customers plan and book ahead for the best value fares for their
01:38 summer trips and getaways. Tickets for many LNER weekday and weekend services up to and including
01:44 Friday, September 6th, 2024 will be available to purchase from Thursday, the 4th of April.
01:53 A woman who died in hospital after a serious crash in Kiefley last week has been named by
01:58 the West Yorkshire Police. Joan McEarney was seriously injured after she was hit by a Toyota
02:06 Yaris in a crash at the junction between Longlea Lane and Cherry Tree Rise at around 6.15pm on
02:14 March 25th. Joan died in hospital on Saturday, March 30th. She was 81 years old.
02:20 The driver of the Yaris stopped at the scene and has been interviewed by the police
