Liverpool headlines 19 October : man dies following collision on The Strand

A forty four year old man has died from his injuries after
being hit by a car on The Strand earlier this month. Police continue
to appeal for information about the incident which involved a white
Audi TT and a grey Toyota Auris at about 1am on the seventh of
October.

Wirral Council say the borough has seen a drop in the rate of young
people entering the justice system. The figure reduced by almost 27%
in 2022 compared to the previous year. The fall is attributed in part
to identifying young people who may be at risk, and working with them
to prevent crime.

And finally there's a new mural near the Woodside Ferry Terminal
celebrating late Oscar winner Glenda Jackson. Jackson, who was born in
Birkenhead, died following a brief illness earlier this year.
