00:00 A lot of people who are going around doing this are creating problems and
00:04 difficulties that the party and more importantly the country does not need.
00:09 I fully support the Prime Minister and I have said many times that I stood to be
00:15 leader and lost and the last time we had a contest after Liz Truss resigned I
00:20 said that the right person to lead the country was Rishi Sunak and I still
00:23 believe that to be the case. So what's your message to those people who are
00:27 going around spreading this stuff? It's the same message I gave several
00:33 months ago when I was interviewed by the Spectator that they need to stop
00:36 messing around, they need to stop messing around and get behind the leader. The
00:40 facts of the matter is most people in the country are not interested in all of
00:44 this Westminster tittle-tattle and quite frankly the people who keep putting my
00:48 name in there are not my friends. They don't care about me, they don't care
00:51 about my family or what this would entail, they're just stirring and we have
00:56 350 MPs, it's a small number of people who are doing this. The vast majority of
01:01 Conservative MPs support the Prime Minister as we saw in the response to
01:05 the article that Simon Clarke put out last week and I think that should be the
01:09 end of the matter.
