00:17 Yeah, it's always exciting to start the first shakedown here at Rallye Monte Carlo.

00:22 Feeling quite okay, but Monte is always a difficult one to start with.

00:27 Yeah, we have to try our best and see what happens, but it's always a tough one to start here.

00:32 Yeah, of course it's unusually dry or lacking in snow and ice compared to what we're used to up here in Gap,

00:39 but nonetheless there'll still be bits of black ice about, I'm sure, given the temperatures we've seen on Recce.

00:45 We still have to expect the unexpected and wait and see what this rally throws at us.

00:49 Yeah, of course, the car feels pretty good and always nice to be here for the new season.

00:54 Everything is new, the car looks new and overalls and everything.

00:58 So, yeah, of course I'm very, very excited.

01:00 But tomorrow night will be a proper, proper rally start and evening stages.

01:05 It's not free like Monte Carlo conditions, but still there is ice on the tarmac.

01:10 Yeah, it's not free, free dry, so still we need to think a lot about tyre choices and driving itself.

01:16 And you need to have good information from the gravel crews also.

01:20 So it's very, very packed. Everything needs to be very good.

01:25 So this is why this rally is so special.

01:27 Of course, I try to do my best to get the best result in here.

01:30 But of course, there are going to be many difficulties and challenges for sure for everybody.

01:35 And just to get through some difficult conditions and then push as much as I can when I feel the confidence.

01:41 Yeah, it was OK. I think the feeling was pretty good in the car.

01:45 Quite a short shakedown there and not always easy to really trust this feeling there.

01:53 But we had some tests also a few days ago and I think we are ready.

01:58 Yeah, for sure. We were thinking that coming back here in the Alps, the snow will be there.

02:02 Unfortunately, we are going through a very warm week and there is nearly no snow.

02:08 But still, I think that the early morning start is going to be challenging because it won't be dry for sure.

02:13 And there will be some frost, some ice maybe.

02:16 And most probably we will have to run with slick tyres, which means the few sections with ice are going to be extra challenging.

02:22 So, like always, it won't be an easy rally.

02:25 Yeah, of course. I mean, the record are quite amazing in this rally so far for me.

02:30 So, of course, I would love to continue that.
