00:02 I sat out there for like five hours, I think,

00:06 and just talked to him.

00:08 He had escaped a bad situation.

00:10 You like your cashews?

00:15 Come on.

00:16 You can trust me, I promise.

00:18 You can trust me, I promise.

00:28 I just showed him that I was there as a friend.

00:30 Hello, beautiful.

00:32 Hello.

00:34 Okay, here's what's gonna happen.

00:39 I'm gonna put my phone down,

00:40 and I'm gonna take my sweatshirt off

00:42 and I'll wrap you in it, okay?

00:44 You're not gonna like it,

00:44 but I promise we're going somewhere good.

00:47 I promise, okay?

00:48 Here we go.

00:49 I went in, I grabbed him.

00:51 He was squealing, he was yelling, he was giggling,

00:54 but I just didn't let go,

00:56 and then I secured him and brought him to my car.

00:59 As soon as I got him into my car, he calmed down.

01:05 The first thing I did, I gave him some water.

01:15 He chugged the entire bowl right away,

01:18 gave him a little bit of food.

01:20 He had a skin infection.

01:26 He had completely flopped over to the ground

01:29 and really surrendered and knew that he was being cared for.

01:34 And after that, I set him up with all of these blankets

01:40 and a really big, soft teddy bear.

01:42 Cashew, is that your bear?

01:47 He was so excited about that bear.

01:50 He would just run around and jump on top of it.

01:55 Every new resident who comes into the sanctuary

01:57 has to do a quarantine for at least a month.

02:00 Once his skin condition was no longer contagious,

02:03 we brought him into the house with us.

02:05 He wasn't able to meet his new pig family yet,

02:12 but he spent a lot of time with our dog, Neil.

02:15 And their favorite activity to do was eat smoothie bowls.

02:20 Made sure that we brought his heat lamp

02:24 and he got a brand new, super fluffy bed with new blankets

02:27 and we tucked him in every single night.

02:29 The day that he was finally able to meet everybody else

02:37 at the sanctuary, he went outside

02:39 and he immediately ran right up to some of the pigs

02:43 and he was sniffing them.

02:44 He was just so excited.

02:48 So then he finally went into the pasture with the pig

02:53 and he absolutely loved them.

02:55 And he just really, really loved meeting everybody.

02:59 It's been going really, really well

03:02 that he's been settling in with his new family.

03:04 He's so, so happy.
