00:11 We've got in partnership with the University of Newcastle which is really fantastic,
00:16 with the assist of the State and Federal Government for funding.
00:19 As we know the Humber Regional Sports Centre will be iconic,
00:22 it will be a state of the art, it will be a world class facility
00:26 and this just goes in very well with that as well.
00:29 It's really exciting to have a measure athlete, how to measure your fitness,
00:33 make sure that you are well enough to compete.
00:36 And also for the many students that will be coming here,
00:38 it won't always be high elite athletes, it will be people, just normal people coming here as well.
00:44 So a really exciting facility.
00:46 I know you did sort of touch on it then, you said it's not necessarily about having your name on the building,
00:51 it's about having the building here in the first place,
00:53 but I mean you must be pretty chuffed to look up and see your name there.

01:12 To walk past here and see that, yes.
01:17 But is that the reason for it? No.
01:21 It's what takes place in the real world, it's what's taking place here.

01:28 This is a fantastic facility for athletes all around the Hunter.
01:32 To have facilities like this being put together from state, federal and local governments,
01:36 it is absolutely amazing and it is giving us the best chance into Olympics in the future
01:41 and having our athletes compete at the highest level.
01:44 Well you need to know where you're at.
01:45 You could be physically fit, everything could be going well,
01:47 but you might just need that extra 1% and that's what testing facilities like this give you,
01:52 that extra 1% so you can go on and compete with the world's best.
01:55 There's still many things to go.
01:57 We've got the big facility behind us that's just getting built right now.
02:00 What this facility will turn into, the Hunter Sports Centre, will be amazing.
02:04 For not only the athletes and the residents of the Hunter, but for all of Australia.
02:09 When they have some of Australia's biggest events here, that will bring in a massive crowd.
