00:00 History in the women's game and some upsets of course deeper into conference
00:05 action on the men's side. What a game it was yesterday in Columbus at the shot
00:12 192 for Ohio State against Iowa. A top-20 tilt in Big Ten play. The 18th ranked
00:20 Buckeyes win outright in OT. 192 over number two Iowa handing the Hawkeyes
00:28 just their second loss of the season now in 20 games. It is unfortunate then what
00:34 happened after the game's conclusion will detract from a great basketball
00:39 game and a great atmosphere yesterday inside Columbus, Ohio because after the
00:45 upset fans of the Buckeyes stormed the court. All good, celebrate the atmosphere,
00:51 enjoy the environment. Unfortunately there was a collision between an Ohio
00:56 State fan and Iowa's Kaitlyn Cork who had a season-high 45 points in the
01:02 Hawkeyes defeat against Ohio State. No serious injuries although Cork was on
01:08 the ground in some pain after the conclusion. Kaitlyn Cork after the game
01:13 said that she was blindsided by the hit. Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith
01:18 who was on his way out did apologize to Kaitlyn Cork and Lisa Bluter and the
01:23 Iowa women's basketball team. An interesting game Donny that of course has
01:27 led to some discussion and discourse on social media. What did you see?
01:33 Watching the overtime by the way getting to overtime
01:36 now how to stay with that nice fourth quarter comeback outscoring Iowa by
01:39 seven points or even to four so then 17 points in the overtime. Kaitlyn Cork that
01:43 45 points she's always gonna be magnificent in every game but it's
01:46 interesting like it wasn't really a court storming because I watched again
01:51 waiting for the football game I watched the entire the overtime session like you
01:55 saw the the crowd like walking down towards the court this wasn't like a
02:00 college football game with a storm and they sprinted a 50-yard line and there's
02:03 thousands of people there wasn't that many but I guess you can equate it Ben
02:06 like you're growing up in like gym class right kids are just running around all
02:10 over the place you catch somebody out of the corner of the eye you brace yourself
02:13 you collide and it doesn't look that bad because it didn't look that bad but it's
02:16 still a dangerous scenario if somebody runs on the course who knows it might
02:19 not have been a big collision Ben you sort of turn your ankle your knee a
02:23 certain way and maybe you miss a game or two that could be big here but I know
02:26 now you're gonna get that emphasis from the NCAA to basically say you know what
02:29 you got us around the court here if there's a chance to storm the court
02:32 nobody's allowed on it if you do there's harsh penalties because let's keep in
02:36 mind of something here college is great it's a unique atmosphere we love it
02:40 running onto the football field with Tennessee beat Alabama and everybody's
02:43 smoking cigars you remember those type of themes here but you don't see that
02:47 professional sports like if the your team wins the NFC or AFC championship
02:52 game the fans don't rush the field and if they do that's like 60 days in the
02:56 slammer of $15,000 fine and terroristic threats here I don't know if we have to
03:00 go to that level in college sports because it's sort of that atmosphere
03:03 but we probably are heading in that direction Ben
