00:19 I've been involved here for 50 years

00:22 and enjoyed it very much.

00:35 Well I came out to build the hall over here on the bank.

00:39 Middle road into Turners Beach.

00:42 After the light plane landed on the beach,

00:45 the second day I was doing it,

00:48 walked down through the booby alleys to see what it was.

00:54 And I thought, well, it wouldn't be a bad place to live,

00:57 so I went up and bought a block up the road and never went home.

01:01 You said you followed a friend of yours, Len?

01:04 Bought the shop and post office and petrol outlet.

01:11 Len said to me, he said this community wants a football and cricket team,

01:15 you know, in the seaside resort,

01:18 and it would be good for his business too,

01:20 so that's how we started.
