Ehud Barak is an Israeli leader who served as Prime Minister of Israel from 1999 to 2001. He was an influential leader, both in Israel and internationally.
Barak was born in Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek, Israel, in 1942. He joined the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in 1961 and served as operations commander during the 1973 Yom Kippur War.
