00:00 A new poll finds Nikki Haley competitive against Trump in New Hampshire.
00:04 The poll was conducted by the University of New Hampshire for CNN in early January.
00:08 It found former South Carolina Governor Haley only 7 points behind Trump, with 32% support
00:13 to his 39%.
00:14 But at the moment, this poll is an outlier.
00:17 A USA Today, Boston Globe, Suffolk University poll from around the same time had Trump 20
00:22 points ahead of Haley.
00:23 And her surge isn't showing up as strongly outside the Granite State.
00:26 Using site FiveThirtyEight's averages, have her 36 points behind Trump in Iowa and 51
00:31 points behind him nationally, with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis placing between them
00:35 in both of those contexts.
00:37 Still, the former president's opponents will take any reason to be hopeful that he can
00:41 be stopped before the nomination.
