00:00I think everyone understands out west, it's, hmm, we know it's going to be, well, let's just pencil Colorado.
00:06But if you had to take a guess here, Tom, who would they be playing?
00:10What is the final setup going to look like here?
00:13Who's coming out of the west?
00:14Who's coming out of the east?
00:15You know, like I said, I think Carolina has a very easy path to get to the conference finals.
00:20I still believe Tampa's the strongest team overall when it comes to the eastern conference.
00:24And when it comes to the west, you know, everyone's going to be looking at Edmonton.
00:28Oh, they've been at two straight Stanley Cup finals.
00:30Listen, the Ducks are good.
00:31And I think the Ducks have a legitimate chance to win this series.
00:34And I'm not, if Edmonton ends up winning, it's going to be 4-2 or 4-3.
00:38I'm not going to be shocked if they end up winning.
00:39But people shouldn't be writing off the Ducks just because the Oilers have been there two straight seasons.
00:44Colorado has, I'm going to say, one of the easier matchups in round one.
00:47But, man, getting past Dallas or Minnesota is going to be very tough.
00:51Frankly, I think it could come down to Colorado versus Vegas, which would be absolutely fantastic.
00:56That's where it would come down to things.
00:57I think Vegas, with their coaching change late season, they will get past Edmonton because the goalie issues for Edmonton
01:03are too much.
01:04I think we're going to see a rematch of what we saw a couple years ago between Colorado and Tampa.
01:09Tom, taking a look here in the Eastern Conference and getting to the Conference Finals, there's so many marketplaces that
01:14you can take a look at.
01:15I'm looking at Polymarket right now.
01:16And so much throughout the season, we've been excited to watch what the Buffalo Sabres were able to do.
01:21But as we know, regular season transferring the postseason success, just a little bit different.
01:25Currently on Polymarket, a 60% contract to the Yes pays back $164 off a $100 investment.
01:32What are the thoughts between the Sabres and what they can do in the playoffs, particularly even making it to
01:37the Conference Finals?
01:39I'll put it like this.
01:40If the Sabres were to lose in round one, I'm not going to be shocked at all.
01:45And, you know, I keep having the thoughts like, wow, they had a great season and then they kind of
01:50just fall flat in the playoffs.
01:52And that wouldn't entirely shock me just because they haven't been there.
01:56Boston's at least proven in some capacity, you know, they've had some, you know, playoff struggles over the last few
02:00years.
02:01But if they win one round, they're not getting past Tampa.
02:04That's what it comes down to.
02:05Like, great season, great storyline from the finally break this 15-year drought.
02:08But they're not getting past Tampa and they're not getting past the Hurricanes.
02:11So win one round, sure, more than that.
02:14I can't buy that.
02:17It sounds like we're talking very chalkiness here when it's all said and done.
02:22I think we'll have to set a series, but it may end up chalky.
02:26Yeah, so then any sort of combination in the predictive markets involving Minnesota or Dallas, we should just push that
02:35aside?
02:36I could see Dallas getting there.
02:38The issue for them would be how much can they withstand at least the first few games of the series.
02:43They are going to be without Rope, hence one of their top players.
02:46So if they lose or they split the first two games, then they obviously lose home on ice advantage.
02:51They have to go back to Minnesota.
02:53Minnesota obviously has a lot of top-end talent.
02:54And really, the scoring struggles that Dallas has had, especially late season, if they can't get the goals going and
03:01Minnesota gets out in front, I don't think Dallas has a chance.
03:04No matter how good their defense is, if they can't get the offense going, which has really struggled the second
03:09half of the season, they just won't have enough.
03:12Tom, well, my Flyers have stunk the past couple years.
03:14We're now back in the playoffs, so excitement I'm going to be watching.
03:16But the team I always used to root for here in place was the Edmonton Oilers.
03:20Talk to me on the chance maybe dry site.
03:22Is he coming back?
03:23Because if he does, that could be a fun team to watch here.
03:25He is.
03:26As long as he stops eating popcorn in the press box since he's been out the past few weeks.
03:30If he's ready to go, they have a chance.
03:32But it's not going to be low-scoring games in any of them.
03:34Their defense and their goaltending is still an issue.
03:36The Ducks, they can score three goals a game.
03:38And they will be toe-to-toe, punch-for-punch with the Oilers every step of the way.
03:42The Ducks, they can score three goals a game.
