00:11 The coordinator of the Venezuelan government delegation for the Dialogue and President

00:15 of Parliament Jorge Rodriguez assured that sooner rather than later it has to be known

00:19 who are those responsible for the crimes against humanity, against the diplomat.

00:24 For his part, Zahab indicated that after 1,286 days of illegally holding him unlawfully,

00:30 they have not been able to prove a single crime nor a single evidence against him nor

00:36 against Venezuela.

00:37 In that respect, Rodriguez pointed out that Venezuela undertook an arduous, hard and difficult

00:42 negotiation for more than two years.

00:44 He added that behind bastard doors there was an immense effort for Alex Zahab's defense.

00:51 "We want to express in this talk, in this meeting with the media, our deepest happiness,

01:02 our greatest joy, our perception that with the perseverance and strength of the government

01:14 of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the strength of President Nicolas Maduro and the

01:19 determination of all Venezuelans, men and women, we have achieved what was once considered

01:32 an almost impossible task, the rescue of a diplomatic."

01:39 The President of the Venezuelan Parliament Jorge Rodriguez stated that they hope to find

01:43 those responsible for the crimes to which diplomat Alex Zahab was subjected.

01:50 We say now that sooner rather than later, the unspeakable tortures to which he was subjected,

01:58 the beatings, the drowning, the inhuman treatment, the kicking out of three of his teeth, will

02:06 be known and it must be known who is responsible for these crimes against humanity.

02:14 Parliamentarian Jorge Rodriguez assured that Alex Zahab will be included as a member of

02:17 the delegation for the dialogue by order of President Nicolas Maduro.

02:23 I would like our diplomat, our delegate, to inform you that by order of President Nicolas

02:28 Maduro, of course, President Nicolas Maduro, Alex Zahab is included as a plenipotentiary

02:36 member of the dialogue tables in Mexico or Barbados, as he was later called, or whatever

02:47 If we are going to sign some kind of agreement in the future, it is the same backbone that

02:56 emerged in the memorandum of understanding signed in Mexico City on the 21st of August.

03:20 commented, Jorge said a few minutes ago, I was kidnapped, tortured, isolated, slandered,

03:47 And after 1,286 days, they could not prove a single crime.
