00:18 I visited Phoenix 2 at the Monaco Yacht Show.

00:21 The Monaco Yacht Show is significant because it's truly the biggest yacht show in the world.

00:26 Not only in size, but also in the size of yachts.

00:29 You'll see 200 foot long yachts just lined up next to each other along the inner keel.

00:35 And then yachts like Phoenix 2 and others anchored even further out.

00:41 Some of the largest yachts in the world congregate around Monaco in September

00:45 because it's like the end of the season in the bed.

00:48 A lot of the yachts go to the Caribbean in the winter.

00:51 But it's kind of like the end of the season party.

00:54 As well as a great chance for owners and potential owners and potential charterers

00:59 to see some of the largest yachts in the world.

01:01 Winch Design were hired as the designers of both the exterior and the interior.

01:06 While Lurssen was hired to build the yacht.

01:08 Winch Design is one of the leading superyacht design firms in the world.

01:13 And they don't just design superyachts, but they also do private jet interiors and architecture.

01:19 So there's many clients, many of Winch's clients that will have them design a yacht

01:24 that's up to 400 feet long or longer.

01:26 And then also design their villa in the south of France or their apartment in New York.

01:31 And their jet as well.

01:33 Lurssen built Phoenix 2 and they also built some of the biggest yachts in the world.

01:39 Azzam is 590 feet long.

01:42 Dilbar at 511 feet long.

01:45 And Nord at 462 feet long.

01:47 And many others.

01:49 Phoenix 2 has seven staterooms.

01:51 Which basically deliver seven star service for up to 12 guests.

01:56 The level of comfort and luxury is really hard to imagine.

02:01 There's a Steinway grand piano at the formal saloon.

02:05 And a silk sunray patterned relief sculpture on the bulkhead of musicians.

02:12 The dining room is lit like a Broadway stage.

02:15 The foyer is inspired by Radio City Music Hall.

02:19 And of course it has a cinema for the ultimate movie experience.

02:23 And a comprehensive wine cellar to satisfy the owner's love of fine wine.

02:28 Phoenix 2 came after Phoenix 1.

02:31 Phoenix 1 was a project that we had designed for someone else.

02:35 And I flew out to St. Martin to meet the owner of this boat.

02:41 And he was chartering Phoenix 1.

02:44 And he said it's not as dynamic or as powerful as I saw the visuals.

02:48 So my original visuals for Phoenix 1 were more silver, more drama, more art deco.

02:54 Exterior and interior.

02:56 And he said it's not as powerful.

02:59 Can you make it powerful? Can you do that to it?

03:02 I said absolutely, sir.

03:03 Phoenix 1 was an interior with an art deco French design.

03:07 So we decided to look around the world for which art deco signature he would like.

03:12 There's Los Angeles, there's Indian art deco, there's Singapore art deco.

03:15 It's all around the world.

03:16 He said no, New York. New York is the one I like.

03:20 It was a statement of power, I think, to build this boat.

03:23 Phoenix 2 is actually for sale.

03:25 And it's roughly in the $130 million range.

03:29 I've seen many of the world's biggest yachts, but this one in particular, it's special.
