00:00 Ian, tough one to take today as we see a goalless draw against Ashford Town.
00:04 What were your thoughts on today's performance?
00:06 A little bit disappointing.
00:07 It was very similar to last weekend's game.
00:10 We've had a long conversation after the game in the change room and got the players to voice as well.
00:18 I think it's important.
00:19 We've got an open room in there.
00:20 We've got some good lads, but it was a bit of an end-to-end game.
00:23 Obviously, Ashford have got one point out of the last six.
00:27 We like to think the squad we have and the players we have in the team are more than good enough to beat them.
00:33 But we were very slow starting.
00:35 A little bit disappointing because when we train, we train high tempo and the standard is very, very high.
00:42 When we come to games times at the moment, especially the last couple of weeks, it's been a little bit flat and the quality has not been where it needs to be.
00:48 Ultimately, if the quality is not there, we've created a few chances, but we don't get the result.
00:52 So, again, it just feels like a bit of a loss.
00:55 But there's a lot of games left.
00:57 There's a lot of ups and downs to come.
01:00 We've just got to concentrate on our next game.
01:02 That's as simple as that.
01:03 And do you think, having watched the performance yourself, there seems to be a bit of a lack of cutting edge?
01:09 Do you think, now we don't have Jake Baxter around, there's a lack of cutting edge so we can't score as many goals and therefore win as many games?
01:16 Yes, we're probably playing players out of position slightly.
01:18 But we've been looking at bringing another couple in, which might happen over the next week.
01:24 Just to freshen it up a little bit.
01:25 But yes, there's definitely goals in the team just at the moment.
01:28 We're going for those little sticky spells that certain things aren't working for us.
01:32 So, yes, it's stuff we need to work on in training.
01:35 Like I say, it's still positive in the changing room, but it's just that air of frustration.
01:39 We've had two or three weeks of it now and we need to knock it on the head quite quickly because we have got a good side and we do play good football.
01:46 We do create chances, but for whatever reason at the moment, we're finding it a little bit difficult.
01:51 So, yes, we'll find a plan to move ahead and turn it around.
01:54 - Thank you. - Talk to you soon.
