Travelers were distressed at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport when a man jumped out of their plane’s emergency exit while on the tarmac. Veuer’s Matt Hoffman has the details.

00:04 According to ABC affiliate WGNO, a passenger on a Southwest Airlines flight jumped out
00:09 of the emergency exit and onto the wing while the plane was on the tarmac.
00:13 A cell phone video captured on the scene shows that other passengers were concerned that
00:17 the man might have been fleeing a bomb.
00:18 "He put something on the plane and he jumped out the exit window."
00:21 Fortunately, that doesn't seem to have been the case.
00:24 The man was detained on the tarmac.
00:25 The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said that he appeared disoriented and may have
00:29 been suffering a mental health crisis.
00:31 No injuries were reported.
00:32 This incident is just one more example of a larger trend.
