A new string of short videos released via the 'Look out! At Roundabouts' Facebook page aim to increase awareness and safety for cyclists and motorists when using roundabouts.

00:05 But research shows roundabouts can increase collisions and danger for people on bikes.

00:11 Because for people on bikes there's no such thing as a minor prank.

00:16 Roundabouts and intersections can be deadly.

00:20 But they don't have to be.

00:22 So slow down and look out at roundabouts.

00:25 And let's make sure everyone gets home safely.

00:30 There are many things that distract and make it even harder to see people on bikes at roundabouts and intersections.

00:36 For example, other vehicles and parts of your own vehicle can impair your vision and create dangerous situations.

00:43 Lighting, signage, vegetation and other objects on or near roundabouts can hide people on bikes until it's too late to prevent a collision.
