Locals in Elephant and Castle, London, are calling for changes to a cycle lane that ends abruptly in the middle of a pavement, creating safety concerns.

The lane, which terminates outside a supermarket, forces pedestrians, including families and elderly residents, to share the path with fast-moving cyclists, including e-bike riders.

Many have reported frequent near-misses and accidents, with one elderly woman saying the lane is "dangerous" and urging that it be moved to the roadside.

Transport for London has stated it will review the location, prioritising safety for both cyclists and pedestrians.
