00:00 We support with all forces the idea
00:06 that we need to develop a plan, that a new government of Guyana
00:12 Ezequiel must be established.
00:14 And these people will receive their IDs and identification
00:22 papers.
00:23 There are many questions, and all of them
00:27 will be answered by a single person.
00:31 The next December 3rd, we have seen
00:39 some explosion of love, generosity,
00:43 of Venezuelans supporting the country.
00:46 Today was not about politics.
00:54 Today was about Venezuelans supporting the country.
00:59 All of them going to voting stations to cast their ballot.
01:02 This is a great opportunity in the history of Venezuela's
01:12 voting.
01:14 This Marco election has been very important
01:19 and is a reflection of love.
01:24 And we have to say to Venezuelan people, thank you.
01:27 Today, we're writing a great page
01:36 in the history of Venezuela.
01:38 This event that was supposed to be some kind of political act
01:49 turned out to be a demonstration of love.
01:52 What we can do is to tell you that if you spent hours
01:59 in a voting station and had the opportunity
02:07 to live and test the new Venezuela voting system,
02:20 and you didn't have the necessity
02:26 of asking other people about their thoughts on this voting,
02:34 because they're convinced that they're Venezuelans
02:37 and they have the responsibility to go to vote,
02:44 is something great that you voted five times
02:48 for a positive answer.
02:50 We never thought that we would receive the support
02:58 that we had today.
03:02 All the statistics and the math that we did
03:11 can't be compared with the number of people
03:13 that showed up today, which is actually
03:18 the double of people we were expecting, which is something
03:25 that makes us very happy.
03:27 And it's something that--
03:40 it's actually nothing more than a mock election,
03:43 but it turns out to be something very important for us.
03:46 So we have never seen something like this since July 2017.
04:10 Today, the amount of people that participated in today's voting
04:16 was four times bigger than the one that we had in 2017.
04:26 That does not mean that it's time for us to rest.
04:30 It's quite the opposite.
04:33 We have to work harder.
04:39 We must stay united in this fight for our territory, which
04:47 has been stolen from us, who want to appropriate over 15%
04:58 of our territory.
04:59 And that's something that we were not allowed.
05:06 And we know that what we saw today
05:08 is just an advance of what we will see in December.
05:15 So this is a representation of Venezuela's thought
05:20 that this territory of us is sacred, and we will defend it.
05:24 So thank you very much.
05:26 We are very excited.
05:27 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
05:36 Greetings to all the government staff.
05:42 This mock election today, do you think
05:51 that we could adjust this election to December 3rd?
05:56 Another question.
05:56 Guyana's president yesterday, and he
06:04 declared that this executive of ours
06:10 is a menace to peace in the territory.
06:13 And according to him, and support the United Nations,
06:24 would mean that they can intervene
06:27 in this disputed territory.
06:29 To that person, we think that he should take some medication,
06:44 something that will make him calmer.
06:47 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
06:56 And here I have the Constitution.
06:58 They can talk about the Article 71 of this Constitution.
07:13 It's important to hear that the statements of other countries,
07:19 especially the United States, are irrelevant in our country.
07:27 We are going to defend the integrity of our country.
07:30 In order to do that, we are going
07:32 to ignore all those kinds of statements,
07:37 all those accusations of drug trafficking.
07:41 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
07:47 And the fact that they have paid some people to exploit
07:52 illegally our territory and our natural resources.
07:55 So that person cannot come here and talk about this referendum,
08:04 about this mock election.
08:08 What we saw today was the Venezuelan people
08:12 acting together united.
08:13 They can keep giving those kinds of statements.
08:20 And the answer of the Venezuelan people
08:23 will be the same one that we have seen today.
08:32 So that person needs to really medicate himself,
08:39 because they won't see any answer different from the one
08:43 that they saw today.
08:44 Regarding this participation of Venezuelan people
08:52 in electoral stations, also the ones seen previous years,
09:02 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
09:03 means that this mock election has been a success.
09:07 So what kind of activities will we see in the near future?
09:10 We are going to portray a whole series of activities
09:25 that will serve as checking how our system is currently
09:28 working.
09:29 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
09:31 We will work with their representatives
09:39 of this government and this part of the political staff.
09:45 We will work with our young people, who
09:54 will be giving flyers in different regions.
09:59 Something that we could say is that this was not
10:12 a successful campaign.
10:13 This is a successful campaign.
10:17 And this is something I would like to say to everyone.
10:21 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
10:25 Sometimes we tend to speak to the people that
10:29 only think the way we do.
10:31 And what we need to do is to talk to all of them,
10:33 those who think different and those who think the same.
10:37 We need to find and to hear people
10:39 who have different perspectives in order
10:42 to understand why they think the way they do.
10:45 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
10:46 And all of this, what we have seen today,
10:58 has shown the capacity that Chavismo
11:00 has to move the people and make them participate.
11:11 All those parties that participated today
11:18 were rejecting our ideas.
11:20 There were a lot of them.
11:21 But the greatest answer we received today
11:33 was the fact that thousands of people
11:37 came to our boarding stations doing long lines,
11:40 waiting for hours, queuing there only to say yes to this referendum.
11:48 And people waited for hours at boarding stations.
11:51 And when I asked an old lady if she would be voting again
11:59 on December 3, she said, yes, absolutely.
12:01 But I will stay here until I vote today.
12:05 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
12:07 What sign do you think will be given after this,
12:18 my collection?
12:19 How would you explain this for us as the national channel?
12:33 Up to this hour, there are people still voting.
12:36 The only thing that's-- we could not postpone this event.
12:39 But there are people who are still voting today.
12:41 How would you think that the world will
12:46 perceive this sign of Venezuelan people supporting
12:50 this referendum?
12:51 And something that we saw today, that this
12:58 is an exercise for peace in the middle of a war.
13:03 And what would be the position of the people regarding this?
13:05 The only time that happened something similar,
13:15 which was something bigger, bigger reach.
13:17 And what we saw today was thousands
13:26 of people voting for peace.
13:28 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
13:30 And people today overcome all kinds of obstacles
13:38 just to go to vote.
13:39 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
13:40 We have seen people who are being threatening our territory,
13:57 especially through a sea.
13:58 These are nothing but declarations of war,
14:06 some intensive violence in our territory.
14:10 And those people are cowards.
14:13 Venezuelan people knows that the more people
14:20 go to voting stations now in December,
14:25 will be only for maintaining peace in our country.
14:31 And something that we have heard from President Maduro
14:34 and the rest of the political staff,
14:41 and also have heard this from opposition who
14:43 have some to this referendum, is that this Michael Eachon will
14:54 be a turning point in the Venezuelan history.
14:59 Because we have seen there is a voice among our people.
15:03 Today was nothing but a representation
15:10 of people's will.
15:11 And a way for them to get familiar with the five
15:19 questions of this referendum.
15:22 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
15:24 And today, what we saw was the Venezuelan people
15:29 willing to defend their values and their country.
15:32 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
15:33 And this is the only peaceful way that we know.
15:42 And we can apply to solve this conflict.
15:44 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
15:46 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
15:47 That person, what was doing yesterday,
15:54 he was thrilled by his fear.
15:59 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
16:00 Was just sharing aggressive statements.
16:08 But what we can say that the will
16:10 will defeat all of its thoughts.
16:13 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
16:15 Greetings to you all at least that.
16:21 And congratulations on today's success.
16:24 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
16:26 Today's marked elections was nothing but a test,
16:33 but turned out to be a great success.
16:35 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
16:41 What would the international just court
16:46 interpret from this election?
16:48 And this marked election is a useful tool
16:58 to get the Venezuelan people familiar with this process
17:05 and to know the opinions of the people.
17:10 In these last 12 hours, what have you seen
17:17 and what can you tell us so far?
17:20 Mostly what we can say is that there is great determination
17:26 among people.
17:38 Those people who are against this referendum
17:40 were seeing that the Venezuelan people was
17:43 willing to defend their values.
17:45 And they came here to ask the International Court of Justice
18:02 to reject and suspend this marked election.
18:05 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
18:06 They tried using all the means they
18:13 had to stop us from doing this marked election.
18:16 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
18:18 But this was something that went beyond what everybody expected.
18:29 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
18:35 And the people here, us included,
18:37 were doing nothing but defending our constitutional right to vote.
18:40 The International Justice Court actually supported us.
18:55 And they forbid all kinds of attempts and rejection
19:01 to this referendum.
19:04 So the result of that was millions of Venezuelans
19:07 going to vote and ask for respect for our territory
19:19 and the result of these elections.
19:21 What we saw today was great determination
19:27 of the Venezuelan people who will go again to the voting
19:32 stations December 3 to show the support of the country.
19:35 And this is something extremely important for us.
19:47 This is something that goes beyond everything
19:52 that we were expecting.
19:54 What we saw today was a show of determination
19:58 of each Venezuelan who went to vote to those voting stations.
20:04 They wanted to express their opinion to cast their vote
20:08 today.
20:09 And we understand from this that they were excited to vote
20:20 and they were willing to show their opinions now and do it
20:24 again on December 3.
20:27 And thanks to that support and that message
20:30 that the people sent to us, we're going to do--
20:34 and we will have this referendum, this election,
20:43 in every part of the national territory.
20:46 So no Venezuelan will have--
20:51 all Venezuelans have the opportunity to vote today
20:55 and do it again on December.
20:57 And thank you to all of you for your work, for your hard work.
21:00 Thank you for elevating that voice
21:07 that the Venezuelan people have.
21:08 And we would like to apologize again for our predictions
21:22 that were completely wrong.
21:23 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
21:26 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
21:29 in the Bolivar Theater, thanks to the Venezuelan people.
