Tesla has implemented a policy to sue Cybertruck buyers who attempt to resell the vehicle within the first year of delivery for either $50,000 or the sale price, whichever is higher. The company also retains the right to refuse future sales to those who violate this first-year no-resale rule. Tesla may agree to buy back the vehicle at the original price minus mileage and wear and tear or allow the buyer to sell to someone else if they have a good reason for selling. Features like Full Self Driving are not transferable to a new owner, as they use a subscription model.
