ACT Greens leader Shane Rattenbury makes a statement regarding serious allegations raised against Greens MLA Johnathan Davis.

00:00 Earlier this week I received information about a complaint related to Jonathan Davis MLA.

00:07 These were extremely serious complaints.

00:09 I immediately referred a senior staff member to conduct an initial review of the information

00:15 and identify the necessary steps that we needed to take in response to this information.

00:22 I have suspended Jonathan Davis from his MLA duties effective immediately, effective in

00:29 the last few days and he will be stood down indefinitely at this point in time.

00:36 My office at this point has not seen any information or evidence of illegal activity.

00:41 Nonetheless we are aware of the serious nature of the allegations and we have referred the

00:46 information we do have to ACT Policing.

00:49 I won't be able to add any further information at this point and I won't be taking any questions
