04:40 just to get to know them a little bit better
04:42 and understand their craft.
04:43 With Alex on the flight over,

04:48 When I met Alex, I told her,
04:49 "I was crying on an airplane because of you."
04:51 It was also that connecting moment.

10:37 is a truly special moment and we want it to feel that way.

10:43 You want it to be aspirational.
10:45 And to me, there needs to be a point of view.

10:49 I want it to be over the top.
10:50 I want it to be something that people are talking about.

10:54 that we had to do in the sand,
10:56 she was game for everything.

11:34 I knew we were losing daylight
11:36 and we wanted to get one more shot in.
11:38 That's usually the point in the day
11:40 when you decide if the talent is gonna go into the ocean
11:43 and ruin any glam that might be done.
11:46 So Alex was game.
11:48 And I saw the coach dress being there
11:51 mostly because of the muted color of it.
11:53 I thought it looked really gorgeous against the sunset.
11:55 It did end up getting pretty submerged from the waist down.
12:00 I immediately rinsed the dress in the motor home
12:02 just to get all of the sand off it.
12:04 'Cause the sand is usually what can abrade at the fabric.
12:07 We hung it in its own garment bag
12:08 and transported it back to the hotel.
12:10 From there, I gave it another rinse.
12:13 Then the next morning, got it back to New York
12:19 in my carry-on and then we dry cleaned it, of course.
12:21 We returned it in better condition that we received it in.
12:24 The best part about styling Alex was her attitude.
12:27 She was so much fun all day.
12:29 She just wanted to be there.
12:31 And if the talent wants to be there,
12:33 it makes the day a lot of fun for everyone.
