00:11 Vice President Harris, any reaction to the bombing
00:14 in Gaza, the refugee settlement?
00:18 Are you excited or worried about AI?
00:20 [INAUDIBLE]
00:37 Vice President, welcome to 10 Downing Street for,
00:39 I believe, the first time.
00:40 Yes, Mr. President.
00:41 It's great to have you here.
00:42 I know we're going to have some good conversations
00:44 about the global situation, particularly Israel and Gaza,
00:47 but also our support for Ukraine.
00:50 Against Russian aggression.
00:51 But it's also fantastic to welcome you to the UK
00:54 for the AI Safety Summit.
00:55 You have been a leader on this important topic.
00:58 Your speech today was incredibly significant.
01:01 And I know we're going to be talking to other leaders
01:03 tomorrow about how we can work together
01:05 to ensure that we reap all the incredible benefits of AI,
01:08 but do so in a way that manages the risks and deals
01:11 with them safely.
01:12 So thank you, and a warm welcome.
01:14 I also want to thank you for the position
01:17 that you and the United Kingdom have
01:19 taken in terms of what is happening in Israel
01:23 and with Hamas.
01:25 As we have both stated, Hamas is a terrorist organization.
01:30 And what happened in Israel is horrendous by any measure.
01:36 We both, I believe, have stated quite clearly
01:38 on behalf of our countries that we do believe
01:41 that it is important that we stand in the sake
01:44 and in the name of understanding Israel
01:46 has a right to defend itself.
01:48 But we also must ensure that there
01:50 is no conflation between the Palestinian people and Hamas.
01:55 And rules of law, in terms of rule of war,
01:59 should apply, which means that there should not
02:01 be any intentional targeting of civilians.
02:04 And there should be the requirement
02:07 that we meet the humanitarian needs of the people
