00:00We fought the election talking about the need for more GPs, more NHS dentists, more community
00:04pharmacists, so people can get the healthcare in their community, get it quicker, so they
00:08don't have to go to hospital or to A&E departments. And we still think that's really important.
00:12I think that will help reform the NHS. And the big thing that I don't see the government
00:17doing is sorting out social care. That's the reform, above all reforms, that the NHS needs.
00:24And if you don't get the social care right, I'm afraid our hospitals will continue to
00:28struggle. Before the general election, we costed those, and we were very modest in our
00:32costing. So, for example, on free personal care, we didn't include the savings you get
00:37to the NHS by the end of the decade, by 2030, we will give £3bn of savings to the NHS through
00:44our policies. So if you think long-term, as we have done, you can get the NHS investment,
00:50you can get the care, and it's affordable. And I strongly believe in what we call invest
00:55to save. If you get the NHS right, you can help people get back to work as well. That
01:00will boost the economy and produce the growth that we all know our country needs.
