Tens of thousands of people march in Taiwan's capital city Taipei for east Asia's largest LGBTQ Pride Parade, now in its 21st year. The festivities come just months after the Taiwanese government passed an amendment allowing gay couples to jointly adopt children.

00:30 The main thing that our theme this year
00:44 is trying to highlight is the fact that while we may realize
00:48 that Taiwan is a very diverse country,
00:50 there is still a bit of a dichotomy in a lot of things--
00:54 male, female, foreigner, Taiwanese.
00:57 What we want to help push forward this year
00:59 is getting rid of those dichotomies and binaries
