00:27 Britney Spears' book, The Woman in Me, is out
00:29 and not only did we celebrate the release
00:31 with the creators of her movie,
00:33 we're discussing some of the book's big revelations.
00:36 And that's if I can put it down, it's just so good.
00:39 Fans packed into the Grove last night
00:41 for a screening of Britney's 2002 film,
00:43 Crossroads, that she requested.
00:46 - Yeah, she really wanted it to help
00:48 with releasing her book.
00:49 All to kind of look back at her life
00:51 and see how she was overprotected and, you know, and--
00:56 - I don't know, actually. - The content, yeah.
00:57 - I don't know, I don't want to see it in context.
00:59 - The movie's creators, Tamra Davis and Ann Carley,
01:02 even spoke about how the label at the time
01:04 wanted her to record music after Pepsi commercials
01:07 and movie shoot days.
01:08 And even Britney told them, "But I have to."
01:11 - And I said, "Guess what?
01:13 "You don't have to."
01:14 - Oh, nice.
01:15 (audience applauding)
01:18 - And the book also has its fair share
01:20 of eye-opening moments from our overprotected queen.
01:23 She details the now much-discussed abortion
01:26 she shared with Justin Timberlake.
01:27 And we also find out Spears' paternal grandmother, Jean,
01:31 whom the star gets her middle name from,
01:33 was sent to an asylum by her husband, June.
01:35 And after Jean suffered abuse and committed suicide,
01:39 Britney writes June would later send his second wife
01:42 to the same asylum.
01:43 She's telling her story her way.

01:52 but Megan Thee Stallion is teasing what she's got coming up.
01:55 - Just as a snake sheds its skin,
01:57 we must shed our past over and over again.
02:02 - Looks like Megan Thee Stallion is shedding her skin
02:07 and ready for a new chapter.
02:09 After recently reaching a settlement
02:10 with her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment,
02:14 Megan Thee Stallion is ready to move on.
02:16 The Houston rapper posted to her socials Monday night
02:19 a snake-themed video captioning, "Act One,"
02:22 along with a snake emoji.
02:24 The tease also seemed to preview
02:25 what looked like a music video,
02:27 although Meg has not officially announced any new music.
02:31 This is the latest in a recent string of teases
02:34 that has employed slithery language and imagery,
02:36 including a tweet earlier this month
02:38 in which she appeared to bare her snake fangs.
02:41 The post featured a cryptic message, "Let's begin,"
02:44 accompanied by a three-second video
02:46 of the rapper showing off fangs
02:47 and a series of posts with some spooky scenes.
02:50 Maybe she's getting into the Halloween spirit.
02:53 Maybe she's building up to a huge announcement.
02:55 Either way, I'm totally here for it.

03:51 Lindsey Haven sat down with the senior
03:53 to talk about new music and opening
03:55 for one of the biggest artists out there.
03:57 - If you had to describe what 2023 has been like for you,
04:01 how could you put it into words?
04:02 - Blessed rollercoaster.
04:04 - Yeah.
04:05 - Front row seat on a rollercoaster, honestly,
04:07 and it goes this way, it goes that way,
04:09 it goes every which way.
04:10 It's honestly just been a wild ride,
04:12 let's just, let's not get spinny.
04:13 - Has there been one moment
04:15 that has surprised you the most?
04:16 - Scissor Tour, honestly.
04:18 Honestly, it was like months and months
04:21 of seeing her to this moment,
04:23 and I was just completely starstruck.
04:26 It wasn't even real to me when I heard the news.
04:29 - How did you find out?
04:30 - My manager called me.
04:31 - Okay. - He was like,
04:32 "Yo, I think we got it."
04:32 I was like, "Wait, what?"
04:35 And then I instantly, I went and I was like,
04:37 posted, I was like, "What is the caption?
04:38 "What do I caption this?"
04:39 Posted a flyer with the caption,
04:40 and the fans went crazy.
04:42 I was like, "Oh my goodness, this is a moment."
04:45 - Do you think that there will be more EPs
04:47 before we get hit with a debut album?
04:50 Have those conversations happened?
04:52 - Who even knows?
04:53 It depends, I mean, I have so much music.
04:55 There's so many opportunities to just put it all out.
04:58 And being genre-less, like you just stated,
05:02 there's areas for everything.
05:03 There's things for every fan, every listener.
05:06 So it just depends on what they want.
05:07 I just, you know, I feed the fans.
05:08 So if they ask for it, I'll give it, yeah.
05:11 - And I mean, it's amazing, like you said,
05:12 starting in the gaming world,
05:13 like you have such a direct relationship with them
05:16 that if they want something, you'll know.
05:17 - Exactly, exactly, they'll tell me, exactly.
