00:22 Natalie Holloway's mother, Beth, reacting to a 2006 ABC interview with Yoron Vanderslote,

00:29 who at the time was the main suspect in her daughter's disappearance.

00:32 Do you remember the last time you saw her?

00:35 Yeah, the last time I saw her was when I told her I was going to go to Deepak's car.

00:40 And how was Natalie?

00:41 And she was sitting on the sand by the ocean.

00:44 Did it seem like a wrong thing to do, leaving a girl on the beach like that?

00:49 At that moment in time, for me it wasn't the wrong thing, but it's definitely the wrong

00:53 thing to do.

00:54 I mean, it's not something a real man would do.

00:56 It's not normal.

00:57 It's not right at all.

00:58 What did I make of the interview?

01:01 You know, I think it's probably great that Yoron is coming forward and speaking because

01:06 every time he gets on camera or grants an interview, he tells another lie and then more

01:11 lies just evolve from that.

01:12 So I think that eventually, you know, who knows?

01:16 Maybe that the prosecuting attorney could get to the bottom of this just by a series

01:21 of lies that Yoron tells because, I mean, he certainly has a string of them.

01:26 One huge discrepancy is initially he was telling interrogators that Deepak Kalpo had picked

01:31 him up at the fisherman's hut.

01:33 But now during this interview, he's saying that he's changed it to Satish has picked

01:37 him up.

01:38 I think that Yoron has done this all along, but I think he's just really now being able

01:41 to share it with everyone else.

01:44 He always places the blame on Natalie, whether it's from the initiation to the contact of

01:49 the point of their meeting, whether it is any alcohol involved, the initiation of when

01:55 they left the establishment, the initiation of the sexual contact.

01:59 Everything is placed on Natalie.

02:00 He accepts absolutely no responsibility for any of the activities or actions that occurred.

02:05 And you know, that just has to be a sign of either guilt or some type of sociopath, it

02:10 would seem to me.

02:11 I mean, I think that when they hear these things coming from Yoron, that it just really

02:16 shores him up as he is involved in the disappearance of Natalie.

02:20 Why would he have fabricated a story within a few hours of the family landing on the island

02:24 and not only fabricated a story, but you have to look at the elements that went into play

02:27 in that.

02:28 Any family, when you have a missing loved one, whether it's within our borders or in

02:32 a foreign country, you know, you just want answers.

02:36 I mean, the nightmare does not end for parents of missing loved ones until they have answers.

02:42 And that's all that we want in this.

02:44 We know that Yoron Vanderslote and his father, Paulus, and Deepak and Satish Kalpo have the

02:49 answers.

02:50 They know what happened to Natalie that night.

02:52 And, you know, we want to get to the bottom of it.

02:55 Of course, we would love to see the Arubin criminal justice system prevail in Natalie's

02:59 case, but so far that hasn't happened.

03:02 And I really can't say that it will, but at least getting answers would be a start.

03:06 There's nothing that I would say to Yoron right now.

03:09 You know, we filed a civil suit now against him.

03:12 So what I would like to happen now is, now that Yoron is willing to come to New York

03:16 and speak freely, I don't see why that he should have any difficulties coming to New

03:21 York now and speaking under oath and answering some questions.

03:25 So I think Yoron has shown us that he's ready to do this.

03:28 So hopefully we'll get to the bottom of it.
