Country footballer turned online influencer Tom Baulsch, 24, said employing social media was essential to the success of his personal training business.

00:00 Social media is the number one most important thing

00:04 that you can utilize to have a successful business.

00:08 My name's Tom Walsh,

00:09 but many people know me as Primetrain.

00:11 What I do is kind of going around social media,

00:16 create content based around fitness, training,

00:19 a little bit of footy.

00:20 I didn't really enjoy waking up at 2 a.m.,

00:24 3 a.m., 4 a.m. every morning to be a personal trainer.

00:27 I wanted to move a lot of my business online,

00:29 or at least 50% of my business online.

00:31 So that's kind of where it all started.

00:33 And I started posting on Instagram and TikTok,

00:35 and I was very fortunate that my TikTok really blew up

00:38 and grew pretty heavily.

00:39 What motivated me to start was being able

00:42 to move some of my business to an online perspective

00:46 and be able to, I guess, to work and earn money,

00:51 but then also kind of be able to not work and earn money.

00:54 So I guess the online programs

00:55 was a good way for me to do that.
