The identity of the man who died after being struck by a vehicle in Newcastle has been revealed. As storm babet hits the country there is a yellow weather warning for the North East until Saturday. Funding given to rejuvenate Ouseburn river.

00:09 revealed. A BMW collided with a bus stop at the weekend

00:12 and sadly 19-year-old Joe Scott was pronounced dead at the scene.

00:16 A full investigation was launched and three people were arrested and released and one

00:21 21-year-old man has been released under investigation.

00:25 As Storm Barbet hits the country there is a yellow weather warning for the North East

00:29 until Saturday. The storm will bring heavy rain and a lot

00:33 of wind to the region which may cause some travel disruption.

00:36 And finally a plan to rejuvenate the Ouseburn River has been unveiled.

00:40 One million pounds worth of funding has been launched with the hopes to kickstart the regeneration.

00:46 There are hopes to transform it into a trail and add new cycle paths and restore derelict

00:51 buildings around the area.
