The Secondary Road Rehabilitation and Improvement Company Limited was created by the Government in 2023, had first announced that "a total of $200 million" would have been "immediately available for" the company.
But during the Parliament's examination of the allocation for the Works and Transport Ministry in fiscal 2024, the Opposition questioned why the company got an allocation of $50 million in the Government's new financial year.
The Government sought to dispel any concerns.
