00:00 If you want your medicine cabinet to look like this, then you're going to want to save
00:03 this video because I'm about to tell you where I get all of my medicinal plants, herbs, and
00:07 mushrooms, where I get my jars, and the five herbs that I started my journey with as an
00:11 herbalist.
00:12 Disclaimer, I work as a clinical herbalist, that's why I have so many medicinal plants,
00:15 but most people only need about five to ten different herbs to build a solid medicine
00:19 cabinet.
00:20 One of those is going to be mullein, which is used to soothe respiratory conditions like
00:23 coughs and bronchitis, and it provides relief for congestion and inflammation that's associated
00:27 with colds or asthma.
00:29 You're also going to want to have lemon balm on hand, which is known for its calming effects
00:32 on stress, anxiety, and insomnia.
00:34 It also aids in digestion, and it supports the immune system from viruses that produce
00:37 cold sores.
00:38 Now, one of my absolute must-haves is dandelion root, which is amazing for liver function,
00:43 digestion, blood sugar, it has anti-inflammatory properties.
00:46 This is a super herb in my book.
00:48 Soursop is another one of my favorites for its anti-cancer properties.
00:51 It's super rich in antioxidants, which boosts the immune system and protects your cells
00:55 from oxidative damage.
00:56 And last but definitely not least is red clover, which promotes bone health, hormone health,
01:01 heart health, and it's packed with tons of essential nutrients.
01:04 I purchase all of my herbs from either Star West Botanicals, Mountain Rose Herbs, Essential
01:08 Organics, or local farmers, and I always buy organic.
01:11 To maximize their shelf life, I like storing them in these airtight glass jars that I get
01:15 from Fillmore Container, which come with these really nice gold lids that I love.
