00:00 (upbeat music)
00:02 - Hey, it's People in 10.
00:05 Starting with our quote of the week,
00:06 which is going mega viral on social media right now.
00:09 Okay, first we need the setup.
00:11 - And I think also we both come from families
00:14 that work really hard.
00:15 Both of our parents work really hard.
00:18 We're very working class.
00:20 - Be honest.
00:22 - I am being honest.
00:24 - So David Beckham is giving Victoria
00:26 a playful hard time.
00:28 Husbands, am I right?
00:29 And then comes our quote, watch this.
00:32 - I'm being honest.
00:33 - What car did your dad drive you to school in?
00:35 - So my dad did--
00:37 - No, one answer.
00:37 - My dad--
00:38 - What car was it?
00:39 - It's not a simple answer because--
00:41 - What car did you get your dad to drive you to school in?
00:44 - It depends.
00:44 - No, no, no, no, no.
00:46 - Okay, in the 80s my dad had a Rolls Royce.
00:48 - Thank you.
00:49 - One reality check, courtesy of Becks.
00:56 This is from the new Beckham doc.
00:58 It's four episodes, all about an hour long
01:00 and they're all on Netflix now.
01:02 So this week's cool dad of the week,
01:05 it's gotta be Eminem.
01:06 He took his daughter, Hailey Jade,
01:08 to Sunday's Detroit Lions game.
01:10 He flexed his muscles up in their suite.
01:12 She took a great photo with the field in the background.
01:15 And it turns out Hailey's fiance is also a Lions fan.
01:18 So I guess it runs in the fam.
01:21 Detroit, by the way, ended up winning against the Panthers
01:23 and dad was pretty pumped up about it.
01:27 Julia Fox dropped the bombshell of the week
01:30 when she talked about Kanye West and her new memoir.
01:32 So she calls him the artist in the book
01:34 and says he asked her to be his girlfriend
01:36 the day after meeting her for the first time.
01:39 Slow down, Ye.
01:40 Julia said no, but he eventually convinced her
01:43 to give it a try.
01:44 And that's not all.
01:45 Julia claims Ye tried to control what she wore
01:48 by sending her clothes
01:50 and trying to hire a wardrobe team for her,
01:52 which she says made her feel like a show monkey.
01:54 And on top of all of that,
01:56 Kanye even offered to get her a boob job.
01:59 The nerve of this guy.
02:01 They broke up in February of last year.
02:03 All I have to say is onward and upward, girl.
02:06 Moving on to the burning question
02:08 that should hopefully reveal whether or not
02:11 we have a new couple alert.
02:12 And I know who to call for the inside scoop.
02:15 (phone ringing)
02:17 Hey, Mako, what's up?
02:18 Hey, Britney.
02:19 Okay, so we've been seeing Bradley and Gigi
02:21 out and about in New York City.
02:23 What's the deal with these two?
02:24 What are sources saying?
02:25 Are they dating?
02:26 Well, I love a model movie star romance,
02:28 but sources are saying it's very casual.
02:30 They're having fun together.
02:31 You know, she's really independent.
02:33 She's so busy right now with modeling and her clothing line.
02:35 And she's a mom.
02:36 So for right now, they're just getting to know each other.
02:39 They're just getting to know each other.
02:40 But a little birdie told me that Gigi has had a crush
02:43 on him for a long time.
02:44 Yeah, so she's like excited to be exploring
02:46 this relationship with him.
02:48 She's definitely attracted to him.
02:50 And right now it's just like cute and fun.
02:52 Nothing serious yet.
02:53 Yeah, she's got a type.
02:54 First Leo, then now Bradley.
02:56 They're all hot, by the way.
02:58 Do you think we'll see some acting in her future?
03:00 She's definitely in her A-list acting, dating era.
03:03 I will say that.
03:05 You know, she actually was seen
03:07 at Blake Lively's child's birthday party
03:10 and Bradley was there and Taylor Swift was there.
03:12 So maybe there's like some big friendship,
03:14 like connection matchmaking happen.
03:16 So, you know, anything is possible.
03:18 Can you imagine the two of them
03:19 maybe on the red carpet together?
03:22 Oh my God, a dream.
03:23 Like Met Gala 2024.
03:25 Hotness overload.
03:27 Well, thank you my friend for stopping by
03:28 and breaking this down for us.
03:30 I'm pretty (beep)
03:31 Sophie Turner and Taylor Swift are our BFFs of the week.
03:35 Now Sophie posted for the first time
03:36 since we found out about her split from Joe Jonas
03:39 to show off a friendship bracelet.
03:41 How cute?
03:42 Which could be a nod to Taylor's album
03:43 that's rumored to be about Joe.
03:45 Now remember, these two dated.
03:46 I'm kind of living for Joe's exes becoming besties.
03:49 Sophie even crashed at Taylor's New York City apartment
03:52 while she and Joe worked out custody for their two kids.
03:54 But this week they agreed to a temporary arrangement.
03:57 So hopefully it'll be smooth sailing from here.
04:00 Our fit of the week comes from the queen
04:03 of effortless style, Sarah Jessica Parker.
04:06 She got an invite from the New York City Ballet
04:08 and said, "Say less,
04:10 but you know our girl did it with a twist.
04:12 Did you see those stilettos?
04:14 Zoom in, please.
04:15 One pink, one black.
04:16 It's giving quirky Carrie Bradshaw and we are here for it."
04:20 And SJP topped off the look literally with an oversized bow.
04:24 Pretty as a pirouette.
04:26 Toni Braxton is unbreaking my heart.
04:29 This queen is our ageless beauty of the week
04:32 because she just turned 56
04:34 and did it well in her birthday suit.
04:36 Look at this sultry photo.
04:38 Toni is working it in nothing but a black robe.
04:41 Yup, she still got it.
04:43 Yes, Toni.
04:44 This week was a two for one on royal outings.
04:48 It all went down on World Mental Health Day.
04:50 In England, William and Kate swung by
04:52 for a forum for young people
04:54 and Kate's fall style was on point as ever.
04:57 Oh, and this was really sweet.
04:59 Her earrings were gifted to her by a mom
05:01 whose teen daughter died by suicide earlier this year.
05:04 They're really committed to raising awareness
05:07 about mental health, especially in young people.
05:09 And on this side of the pond,
05:11 Harry and Meghan went back to school in Brooklyn, New York.
05:14 With Meghan even wearing a Letterman jacket
05:16 given to her by some students
05:17 when she was still a working royal in 2020.
05:20 Over the next few weeks,
05:22 we'll be throwing it back
05:23 to some of our favorite pop culture moments
05:25 brought to you by Pepsi.
05:27 And today we're going back to the future.
05:30 Well, the 80s with this steamy Michael J. Fox spot.
05:35 - You okay in there?
05:36 - Here's your diet Pepsi.
05:38 - That must be my roommate, Danny.
05:41 - Danny?
05:42 - Hi, I'm Danielle.
05:44 You got another diet Pepsi?
05:47 - Sure.
05:48 - Remember this?
05:49 Back then, Michael was such a hearthrob.
05:52 Of course, he'd run around town for a Pepsi
05:54 so he could impress a beautiful girl.
05:56 But these days, life looks a little different.
05:58 He's been married for 35 years, wow.
06:01 And he's funded over a billion dollars
06:03 in research programs for Parkinson's disease
06:06 through his foundation.
06:07 - What did it mean to be still?
06:09 - I wouldn't know I was ever still.
06:10 - He's so inspiring and still making us laugh.
06:13 Now it's the sit down.
06:16 Five questions with the multi-talented,
06:19 Jessie James-Decker.
06:20 Hi, Jessie.
06:21 You made a huge announcement a few weeks ago.
06:23 You're pregnant with baby number four, congratulations.
06:26 How are you feeling?
06:27 - I'm good, just feeling really tired, really sleepy.
06:31 And the kids have a lot of activities that they're doing.
06:33 So I'm running around after them.
06:35 When I was pregnant before, they were little
06:37 and it was like a different level of exhaustion
06:39 'cause there were little babies running around.
06:41 But now they've got like gymnastics and football
06:43 and baseball and guitar lessons.
06:45 So I'm like running around after them.
06:47 They've got a lot of activities.
06:48 It's just a different level of exhaustion
06:50 and I'm working still.
06:51 - You're a pregnancy pro at this point.
06:53 But what surprised you about this pregnancy?
06:55 - I just kind of thought
06:56 because I haven't been pregnant in five years
06:59 that it would almost be like the first time again
07:03 where your body's like, whoa, what are we doing here?
07:05 This is like brand new.
07:07 And it wasn't, my body was like, we know what's up.
07:11 Like, we're doing this, we've done this before.
07:14 - Let's talk about your new cookbook, congratulations.
07:17 What recipes can we expect to find inside?
07:19 What inspired you to write it?
07:20 - You know, I love cooking.
07:22 It's like one of my favorite things to do.
07:24 Not only do I just love making an amazing meal
07:26 or something delicious for my family to eat, for me to eat,
07:29 but it's also like therapeutic for me.
07:31 I love being in the kitchen
07:33 and just creating these delicious things.
07:35 And so I started sharing recipes back in the day
07:39 and I could tell that there was a demand
07:41 from people wondering, how did you make that?
07:43 Or what's that recipe?
07:45 So that's kind of how the cookbook journey began for me.
07:48 Listen, I was born in Italy, raised in the South.
07:51 My whole family's from Louisiana.
07:52 So I just have roots from all over the place.
07:55 And I do feel like it has made for good flavor.
07:59 - What's the number one request that the kids have for you?
08:01 - Pasta, all they want is pasta.
08:03 So I have a full chapter on pasta in here.
08:06 And then they also love the hearty, like in a pot stuff.
08:09 So I have a whole chapter called hot in a pot.
08:11 And there's this chicken thigh bake
08:13 that is very popular in my house.
08:15 It's chicken thighs over rice and vegetables.
08:18 And it's just so good.
08:20 - You celebrated your 10 year anniversary in June
08:23 with your hubby, Eric.
08:24 You guys are so cute.
08:25 How do you keep the spice going in your relationship?
08:28 - You know, we like each other.
08:30 I think that when we met,
08:32 we just saw the world the same way.
08:34 And we always have, we just have the same beliefs
08:37 and we view life and love and family
08:41 so similar that it works.
08:42 Once you've been together for so long,
08:44 you know, real life will happen.
08:46 And in those real life moments,
08:48 you've got to have such a great strong foundation
08:50 and love and like for each other
08:52 that you're never faced by some of those heavy moments
08:55 that can happen along the way.
08:56 So I think for us, we just had a strong foundation
08:59 and I don't know, I just like the guy.
09:01 - And what do date nights look like in the Detra household?
09:03 - I cook so much.
09:04 So sometimes it's nice to get a little break
09:06 and have him take me out.
09:08 We went on a date last night, which was so much fun.
09:10 It was just like a little sexy night out for us.
09:13 You know, we went and we ordered every dessert on the menu
09:16 and it was just nice to have some quiet time
09:19 to listen to music on the car ride over
09:21 and just held hands.
09:22 It was just like nice to be alone.
09:25 - I can't believe that I'm saying this,
09:26 that the holidays are fast approaching.
09:28 What are your non-negotiable traditions
09:30 when it comes to you guys celebrating as a family?
09:33 - I've always been that girl that's like,
09:35 we're not gonna do Christmas until Thanksgiving is over,
09:37 but I feel like I may be changing.
09:40 I don't know.
09:40 I may want like a hybrid of still some fall festive things
09:45 mixed with a little bit of Christmas,
09:46 but I won't go like winter wonderland
09:48 until Thanksgiving's over.
09:50 - Have you tried any traditions with the family
09:52 that maybe just didn't pan out?
09:54 - Yeah, so the last few years,
09:56 we were trying to do like Thanksgiving, like on a trip.
10:00 So we've been going to Mexico
10:02 and doing the whole travel thing.
10:04 And it's fun, but by the time the Thanksgiving meal is served
10:07 the kids are not happy.
10:09 They're like, this doesn't taste like the real thing, mom.
10:11 This isn't the gravy you make.
10:13 So I'm thinking I'm either gonna have to make
10:17 a Thanksgiving meal before we leave or when we return,
10:20 or maybe we just won't travel on Thanksgiving.
10:23 - And finally, pick a project and play it
10:25 for the next 10 seconds.
10:26 You ready?
10:27 Let's go.
10:27 - You guys, my new cookbook, "Just Eat" is out.
10:30 So make sure you go grab it.
10:32 Make sure you grab my brand new single,
10:33 "I'm Gonna Love You" is out everywhere
10:35 and check out my new Christmas EP out in November.
10:38 - Jessie, thank you so much for being here.
10:40 - Thank you.
10:41 Good talking to you.
10:42 (whooshing)
