00:13 It started when, that was during Tommy Thomas as the Attorney General.

00:20 All the enforcement agencies, including police, the commercial crime, at that time they have

00:26 started the investigations. SC, Security Commission also. And that is on

00:38 One, an investigation was underway. The second was a charge was made against Roger

01:10 DOJ and Attorney General, it was finally agreed that the State Attorney at that time agreed to

01:18 hand over to DOJ for Roger to be sent there. And the meaning of the surrender, the word used

01:27 is temporary surrender. Until the case in the US Court is over. And whether there is a detention

01:37 or release, DOJ will immediately return Roger to Malaysia. There is a treaty between Malaysia

01:47 and the US. In the Treaty of Chapter 13, 1 and 2. For if there is a situation where any

01:56 parties are against any individual, then this treaty will be used. At the same time,

02:03 correspondence between DOJ and AG became the basis. So, the arrangement is that when the US

02:13 Court is over, they will resume. And what is the decision of the court case? Roger was

02:21 sentenced to 10 years in prison. And during his time there, that was the time given by

02:31 the Malaysian government. And the last term was until February next year. That is the extension

02:39 being given. Because we do not know when the court is over. Apparently, the US Court

02:43 was over earlier. So, we then informed DOJ so that Roger can be returned. My job is only

02:53 to facilitate his return. The establishment of the government today is for the purpose

03:00 of trying to somehow regain the assets or recovery assets in two forms, either from

03:11 Goldman Sachs or from 1MDB.

03:14 What is the reason?

03:16 I will leave that to the police. They will have to make sure that the law and so on,

03:22 the old legislation that was approved by the state court to be returned, we stopped

03:30 abruptly at that time. Because the US had already finished the investigation. They wanted

03:34 to say that we were still in the process of investigation. So, the investigation was

03:38 stopped. We gave it first. Then we had a caveat that as soon as the case was over there,

03:44 we brought it back. So, whether to continue the old investigation or there is a new

03:49 investigation, that is the jurisdiction of the police.
