Transcript
00:00 This Monday, we will be with you to deliver news and information to the Bureau of Plant Industry Director, Glenn Panganiban.
00:08 Director Glenn, good afternoon to you.
00:10 Good afternoon to you, too.
00:12 And if Director Glenn is with us, of course, when we ask him about their agricultural projects.
00:20 But I'm curious because I saw you in the picture of PIA that you were in the Urban Farm in BGC.
00:28 What is the latest that you are going through?
00:31 I've always been curious about the Urban Farming that is happening there.
00:35 Maybe this is what you are talking about, the one behind a big superstore there, the Urban Farm of BGC.
00:43 Actually, it's a community initiative.
00:45 It started during the pandemic.
00:48 The private sector led it, the local government supported it, and of course,
00:53 the Department of Agriculture's Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture Program.
00:58 So, it's open to all stakeholders who are interested in venturing into urban farming.
01:05 So, for example, in our community, or in our barangay, or in our village,
01:10 we are interested, Director, in doing urban farming.
01:14 How can we become a partner with the Bureau of Plant Industry or BPI?
01:19 Okay, you can just walk in.
01:23 I said that we are just here in front of PTV on Quezon Avenue,
01:27 well, Quezon Elliptical Circle, and our office in Malate, Manila.
01:32 Just send a letter of interest that your group wants.
01:37 You can also email us at BPI.
01:40 And on our Facebook page, you can write to us to request.
01:46 This is open to groups, homeowners, LGUs, and other groups, farmers, cooperatives, and associations.
01:54 You can email us, Director, so we can try to start it in our own backyard or in our own village.
