00:00 I'm Colin Stagg.
00:02 I was wrongfully accused back in 1994
00:05 of the murder of Rachel Nickell of Wimbledon Common.
00:07 I spent 13 months in prison,
00:10 and the case was thrown out after those 13 months
00:15 by Lord Justice Ognell,
00:17 and I had to endure 15 years of horrible news clips
00:25 from newspapers accusing me of this, that, and the other,
00:30 which never happened.
00:32 And it was back in 2008,
00:36 I was actually told that they'd arrested Robert Knapper
00:40 in connection with the murder of Rachel Nickell,
00:43 and I was finally cleared.
00:44 I'm currently living in temporary accommodation
00:49 because I've been living with my partner,
00:52 now my ex-partner, since 2016.
00:55 I needed a place of my own, basically,
00:57 and that, so she kicked me out
01:01 'cause she was sick of the sight of me more than anything,
01:04 which I can understand,
01:05 but it's just started my whole life now
01:10 in this temporary accommodation,
01:12 and I've been applying for jobs
01:15 to get back into security work, which I used to do,
01:18 or even retail work,
01:21 and I've got lots of applications out there
01:23 waiting to hear back from them.
