00:13 Lincoln booth.
00:14 For 2013, Lincoln has significantly refreshed two of its four models, the MKS, which is
00:20 behind me, and the big three row MKT.
00:23 These are significant refreshes.
00:25 The exterior's different, the interior's different, and there's a lot of new technology.
00:28 But rather than listen to me tell you about it, I'm going to introduce you to Max Wolff.
00:33 He's the new design director for Lincoln and he's going to tell you all about the 2013
00:38 Lincolns.
00:39 All right, so this is the new 2013 Lincoln MKS.
00:43 The exterior of the vehicle is all new from the A-pillar forward.
00:46 And our intent here really was to visually sort of lower and widen the front end of the
00:50 vehicle, whilst also adding maybe a little bit of element of refinement and elegance,
00:56 certainly within the grill texture, and also in some of the detailing around the elements
01:00 that link the grill and the headlamps together.
01:03 Also done a lot of work around the rear of the vehicle, where we've got all new LED tail
01:07 lamps, we have a new trunk lid.
01:09 In addition to the work that we did on the exterior of the vehicle, we've also done quite
01:12 a bit of work on the interior of the car as well.
01:14 So we've integrated all of the latest technology, which makes it a truly luxurious and inviting
01:20 environment to be in.
01:22 Aside from all the interior and exterior changes, there's a lot of new things going on, but
01:26 neat the sheet metal.
01:27 The 3.7 liter V6 gets a 32 horsepower bump, up to a total of 300 horsepower, which is
01:33 pretty good, especially considering that this car gets one mile per gallon better than the
01:37 car it replaces.
01:39 It's also got this new active damping system, actually continuously active damping, called
01:43 Lincoln Drive Control, where it can monitor the road 500 times a second and make up to
01:47 50 changes per second of the suspension.
01:50 In addition, the new Lincolns also have some active safety features, including a lane departure
01:54 warning system and a lane keeping aid.
01:57 All these changes add up to a very significant refresh for both the MKS and the MKT.
