00:04 ARP Street Rod or Road Tour car presented by AMSOIL.
00:08 Some of the most dynamic parts about the build are the changes in the design of the car.
00:20 Because we've chopped the roof, brought the windshield down, reshaped the top, rebuilt the entire front end,
00:26 changed the grill, changed the headlights, all of that's handmade metal, hand-built, hand-fabricated hood front.
00:32 The back of the car, we made all of the chrome trim ourselves.
00:35 We changed the way the back panel looks. We've taken the bumpers, cut them, narrowed them, smoothed them,
00:41 brought them in, tightened the car, reshaped the ends. So there's a ton of metal and custom work done to the car,
00:47 and those are some of my favorite parts of the car.
00:50 In addition to that, I really like the engine compartment. You have a 427 Ford Racing engine that is
00:58 without the Torque Storm superchargers in the 463 or 450 horsepower range or more,
01:05 plus the Torque Storm twin superchargers, we're up to 800 horsepower,
01:10 and the color scheme is a kind of a black on black with the gray outer,
01:15 but we used ARP polished hardware to really accentuate just the details of the engine.
01:21 So we think that we have a crazy performance package as well as a beautiful looking engine in the road tour car.
01:29 We handed the car over to Mark Lopez at Elegance Auto Interiors and just let him do his thing on the interior.
01:40 So he designed it and stitched it and he went to town on the interior and hopefully it's going to be a fantastic ride for Jerry.
01:48 It's a road tour car, it's got to drive. This thing's going to go cross country, he's going to drive it
01:52 20,000 miles in the next three to four months, which is just crazy.
01:57 So in order to really make a perfect driving machine, the fast fuel injection system on the car
02:05 has been tuned by West Tech Performance and they're masters at tuning the fuel injection on these cars.
02:12 They put it on the dyno, they tune it for drivability, for cruising,
02:17 and they can really tame the 800 horsepower by using the fast system and tuning it to perfection.
02:30 What really is the icing on the cake to the car, in addition to all the custom work and things that we did,
02:36 Starlight Rod and Custom did the paint and body.
02:39 And the Ford blue paint is really a beautiful, dynamic paint that really shows in the sunlight.
02:46 It's got some pearl in it and it just really just pops when you see the car in person.
02:50 And then in addition to that, the secondary accent colors, which is the gray,
02:55 really flows well with the blue and Starlight Rod and Custom really just knocked it out of the park.
03:00 And in putting the paint job and the finishing touches on this car.
