Leeds Skincare Treatment Trial

Following a ‘Zoom boom’ surge in skincare treatments, Abbey Maclure tries a HydraFacial at Aesthetica Medical in Leeds.

00:11 the pandemic in what's been dubbed the Zoom boom.

00:15 Our clinic was founded in 2016 with a vision of providing a luxury, bespoke medical aesthetics

00:22 and skin service to our clients. Part of my week, working week, involves working in a

00:27 general practice and the rest of the week is working in aesthetic medicine. I absolutely

00:46 One of the clinic's most popular new treatments is their HydraTite. It's a hydrafacial plus

00:51 A skin tightening treatment, which I'm going to try out today. It aims to lift, tighten

00:57 and brighten skin to define facial features and natural contours. Now it's important to

01:02 do your research before you try out any skincare or aesthetic treatment and speak to medical

01:07 professionals like Dr Samia, but for me this treatment sounds like just what I need and

01:13 I'm excited to give it a try.

01:15 We offer a range of medical grade treatments, so we've got injectables, Botox, fillers,

01:30 concerns. Today you'll be having the HydraTite treatment, so that's fantastic for rejuvenating

01:36 the skin, helping to contour, stimulate collagen production and overall treat your skin to

01:56 The treatment started with the NeuroTite procedure, where radiofrequency energy was delivered to

02:00 my jawline and that stimulates collagen. The temperature was gradually increased and I

02:05 quickly got used to the sensation. This part was really relaxing. The second half of the

02:10 treatment was a medical grade HydraFacial and that includes lymphatic drainage, exfoliation,

02:16 appeal, extraction and then hydration.

02:19 So I've just had the treatment, it felt absolutely amazing. The first tightening treatment was

02:25 really warm, it felt a bit like a hot bath for the face, it was lovely. And then for

02:29 the second half, the HydraFacial, I could really feel them getting to work in my skin,

02:34 getting all the gunk out the pores. But the results are amazing, I can definitely see

02:38 a difference on my jaw and my skin feels tighter and really nice. I think the nicest thing

02:42 was just taking a bit of time out for myself.

02:45 So it's seven days on and I'm so impressed with the results. I've had a couple of breakouts

02:49 where everything has been brought to the surface but overall my skin looks so bright and smooth

02:55 and I can really see the difference in the tightening treatment on my jawline. I've had

02:59 multiple compliments too so it must have done the job.
