00:13 Because the decision that the UK government has made
00:15 is absolutely catastrophic.
00:18 It has ignored the science on climate change.
00:20 The scientists are telling us that 4/5 of our fossil fuel
00:23 reserves need to stay in the ground
00:25 if we're to have any, any kind of a chance
00:27 to halt the climate change, which is devastating
00:30 communities around the world.
00:31 So it's absolutely critical now that the UK government
00:34 reverses this decision.
00:35 It's important that all politicians stand together,
00:38 put pressure on the UK government
00:39 to stop Rosebank going ahead.
00:41 Because ultimately, we need to be investing
00:43 in the renewable energy future.
00:45 What Rosebank does is it sends a message
00:47 to multinational companies that they
00:49 should be doubling down on extracting fossil fuels,
00:52 when in fact, the future is renewable energy.
00:55 Renewable energy is the future for both low-cost fuel
00:57 and for resilient energy going forward.
00:59 And yet, what we're seeing today is a movement
01:02 that is committed now to tackling climate change
01:05 and to calling the UK government to account.
