President Biden Meets With President Zelenskyy and Pledges New Aid for Ukraine

President Joe Biden vows to keep helping Ukraine with its war against Russia.

00:10 And earlier this week at the U.N. General Assembly, I made it clear that no nation can

00:18 be truly secure in the world if, in fact, we don't stand up and defend the freedom of

00:23 Ukraine from facing this Russian brutality and aggression.

00:29 That's why we brought together a coalition of more than 50 countries to help Ukraine

00:35 defend itself.

00:39 That's why together with our partners in Ukraine, we have provided humanitarian aid as well

00:46 as tens of millions of people with food, clean water, and so much more.

00:52 And that's why we've begun the process of formalizing our long-term commitment to Ukraine's

00:58 security alongside the G7 and with other partners.

01:04 And that's why we supported just and lasting peace on the respect of Ukrainian sovereignty

01:11 and its territorial integrity.

01:14 I'm glad to meet you.

01:15 It's already the showtime this year.

01:18 Thank you for the invitation.

01:19 Our regular dialogue has proved that our countries are really, truly allies and strategic friends.

01:26 We greatly appreciate the vital assistance provided by the United States to Ukraine to

01:33 combat Russian terror.

01:34 Really, terror.

01:35 Now I look forward, Mr. President, to our discussion for the benefit of our nations

01:42 and the world.

01:43 When it comes to weapons, we will discuss everything with a special emphasis on air

01:48 defense.

01:49 And just to say that especially this day, one year ago, we had – we made this big

01:59 exchange of presence, war presence, and journalists.

02:07 And it was – this day, we've got all defenders of Azovstan and also citizens of

02:16 the United States.

02:17 And I'm happy that we did it.
