00:00 So great to see you guys. Congratulations. Thank you. Thank you so much. Um, Charity,

00:06 the ring is gorgeous. So tell me, did you have any input? Like, how do you feel about what he chose?

00:12 Oh, I mean, truly my dream ring. So he did great. Um, I didn't have much input at all. Like I don't

00:19 get to clearly, I don't get to see the rings and be like that one. But I did just kind of mention,

00:24 like, obviously I wanted an oval cut and that was that like very traditional, very like classic.

00:30 And so he somehow some way really managed to pick the perfect ring.

00:36 It's, it's truly stunning. And Don, you said at one point in the season, you weren't even

00:41 totally sure that an engagement was what was coming at the end of this. So when did you

00:46 kind of know you were ready to propose? And was there ever any like hesitation about that?

00:51 Um, no, not necessarily. Like I said, I went into this, I knew it was about dating and finding love,

00:57 but I didn't know if it ended in dating or a marriage or I had no idea. And so it wasn't until

01:03 probably week three or four after I really got to know her and really saw her as my wife. And then I

01:07 asked one of the guys and I said, Hey, like, how does this end specifically? And they said engagement.

01:12 And like for a second, I was like, Oh, shoot. But then I thought of who she was in the relationship

01:16 that we had built up at that point. I said, if we keep going, then that's exactly what I want. So

01:20 that's what exactly what ended up happening. Um, and you know, charity, obviously you were

01:25 kind of open about how you really were falling for multiple men and you were very vocal about

01:29 that on the show. So did you kind of warn Don about that before the episodes aired and how

01:34 was it for both of you watching that back? Yeah. Um, honestly, we, like, I knew kind of coming

01:40 into all this, like how it was probably going to be watching it back and getting advice from like

01:45 former people who've already done all of this. But I was very intentional in that aspect because

01:50 like the most valuable thing in all of this is like our relationship. And so I wanted to be very

01:55 proactive in that, um, addressing any concerns that he might have things that he, like me, he

02:00 was probably not aware of. So we kind of had those, um, more challenging conversations early on. And

02:06 that way it kind of just laid the foundation for us to kind of get in a good head space of watching

02:10 this all back. And I made sure like every week, um, a lot of the episodes we did get an opportunity

02:14 to watch together. So week by week, we just like constantly checked in with each other and,

02:19 um, it was honestly like very smooth, truly. Yeah. For, for me watching it back, like, like she said,

02:26 obviously we're in different positions in terms of she's a lead dating other men and I'm just

02:29 trying to get her heart in and that's what happened. And, um, we had difficult moments,

02:34 but charity has just been so amazing throughout this entire process, checking in on me, making

02:40 sure that everything is good and asking all the right questions. And I, you know, she made me feel

02:45 so secure. I was already secure, but like, these are tough moments and I think a lot of people

02:49 struggle and, um, we, we really got through it. I feel like relatively easy. So I'm really grateful

02:55 for this one and the love that she has for us and me. So yeah, it was awesome. Yeah. It's definitely

03:01 a good way to test your communication early on. So a good first hurdle. Well, when it came to the

03:06 finale episode, there was that hesitation charity from your family to kind of tell you where they

03:11 stood with things. And I'm sure this is just sort of the way it was edited, but they were almost

03:15 seeming, seeming to like lean a little bit towards liking Joey better, whoever you want to say it.

03:20 So how was that watching it back and how did they react when you told them that you were engaged to

03:24 Don? Yeah. Um, great question. Literally perfect question. Um, it was challenging watching it back

03:32 because obviously like you, you do see my emotions very, um, intensified and heightened in that

03:37 moment. And again, that just was because it's, I'm, I'm kind of having almost an internal freak

03:42 out myself of like, Oh goodness proposal is like the next day or two days from now. So it's like,

03:48 what do I do? And obviously having not being able to talk to my parents or my family up until that

03:53 point, like you kind of want to exhaust everything and just kind of get it all out. So that's kind

03:57 of the headspace that I was in. I was like, someone just tell me something, you know? Um,

04:01 but I do respect my mom, um, for not giving me like an answer, a direct answer and knowing that

04:06 she knew my heart, she knew exactly where I was at and things. Um, and yes, like how things were

04:11 edited definitely was not in my opinion, the best portrayal, but that's okay. My family is definitely

04:17 on board with this and they were very excited. Once I got to tell them the news that we were

04:22 engaged and my brother wasn't there. So, um, he was also one of the first ones that I FaceTimed.

04:26 So exciting. So exciting. And I know you guys kind of mentioned that, um, you're not, you're,

04:32 you don't want to wait too long to walk down the aisle and, you know, you kind of want to get the

04:35 ball rolling here, but have you thought about the guest list at all? Like, will anyone from the cast

04:39 kind of make it onto the guest list? Are you trying to keep that separate? I don't get to pick

04:44 that. Well, I do. She's closed that chapter, but, um, they casted so well for, for charity because

04:52 of the caliber of woman that she is. And so all the guys really are amazing. And we, you know,

04:56 I guess it doesn't happen often, but we're a very tight knit group. So I'm positive. There's going

05:00 to be a few of those guys making appearances, which ones I don't know yet. Yeah. Yeah. So what,

05:08 what are the plans for the immediate future now? I mean, now you have to get through this

05:11 whole day of press and kind of figuring out how to be out there together with your relationship,

05:16 but what's next? Um, yeah, we're just spending this time together, quality time. I'm really just

05:22 enjoying, obviously in celebrating our engagement, but we know like, obviously dancing with the stars

05:27 is up next. So, um, we're just trying to figure out that and, um, he'll be coming with me. So yeah.

05:34 Um, but just living, living life. Yeah. It's, it's, you know, when one chapter closes and

05:40 another one opens. And so now we're in this next whirlwind of things with dancing with the stars

05:44 and a lot of open-endedness, but, uh, as long as we're doing it together, I think we're excited

05:47 to do it. So we're just going to have fun and spend time and do normal, normal people things,

05:52 you know? So, um, that's pretty much it for now. Amazing. Well, I'm so, so happy for you guys.
