00:00 Well, I listened to his speech and I thought it reveals Rishi Sunak is very weak.
00:04 He's being pushed around by Liz Truss and he's causing chaos.
00:08 This is a set of announcements which is undermining business investment in this country.
00:14 It's undermining the stability of our economy and it's actually going to cost consumers
00:18 more.
00:20 This is when after 13 years now we've had one of the most devastating cost of living
00:23 crises and people are really struggling with the bills.
00:27 We need decisions to get our economy moving again, to grow our economy and we should be
00:31 supporting our business community.
00:33 We should be supporting investors in the future of our automobile industry in this country,
00:38 not undermining it.
00:39 Well, look, I'm interested in what this announcement does to people here in this country who are
00:44 already struggling with bills, who are already struggling with higher mortgages, thanks to
00:48 decisions taken by this Conservative government.
00:51 What weak Rishi Sunak has done today, pushed into it by Liz Truss and other right-wing
00:56 Tory MPs, is undermine a crucial bit of our economy, undermine a crucial bit of our growth
01:03 strategy in this country.
01:05 We should be taking advantage of the transition to electric vehicles to bring bills down for
01:10 people in this country.
01:12 Today's decision by Rishi Sunak is going to cost people more in this country because of
01:16 his weakness.
01:17 Now, what Rishi Sunak has done today is taken a set of decisions which is going to cost
01:22 people more in Darlington, in Mansfield, in Bury and Bolton.
01:27 These are people who are already paying more on their mortgages, thanks to 13 years of
01:30 the Conservatives, who are already paying more in tax, thanks to all the tax rises that
01:35 Rishi Sunak has imposed on them, are already paying more in their weekly shopping because
01:39 of the Conservatives' mismanagement of the economy and the way in which they crashed
01:42 the economy last year.
01:44 The decisions that Rishi Sunak has taken today reveal that this is a weak Prime Minister
01:49 presiding over a chaotic government undermining the economic interests of this country.
01:53 Look, we've put forward a really, really detailed set of proposals which will bring people's
01:58 energy bills down so people are paying less on their energy bills.
02:01 And we actually think it's important that we move to electric vehicles.
02:05 Why?
02:06 Because it's cheaper for consumers and it means that we'll create good jobs in this
02:09 country by winning that global race and being a place where we can build these vehicles
02:14 for the future.
02:15 And by the way, it's not just the Labour Party making these points today, it's the
02:19 industry itself.
02:21 Look at the way in which Ford Cars has come out and slammed weak Rishi Sunak for the decisions
02:26 he's taken today.
02:27 What Rishi Sunak has just done is pulled a rug from underneath this part, this important
02:31 part of our economy and really damaged investment in our country.
02:35 Look, what he is doing today is being pushed into these decisions by Liz Truss and others.
02:39 As I say, he's overseeing a chaotic government and he is damaging business investment in
02:45 this country.
02:46 The Labour Party are putting forward a really good set of proposals to grow our economy,
02:52 to make our economy more prosperous and create good, well-paid jobs across the country and
02:57 bring bills down for people.
02:59 So the party that is really committed to making change on this front is the Labour Party.
