NSW Budget 2023: State’s return to surplus planned in two years

The NSW Labor Treasurer Daniel Mookhey has handed down the Budget,  outlining plans to return the government to surplus in the next two years, despite the more than $18 billion in new spending and $8 billion Budget shortfall predicted for 2023-2024.

00:22 this cost of living crisis and fixing their essential services, especially our schools

00:31 700,000 motorists getting a toll cap, 84% of first home buyers not paying any stamp

00:35 duty or land tax.

00:37 In addition to that, a good billion dollars set aside for $1.6 million for their power
