00:00 Adam, you must be delighted today. A great win for the team and obviously a really good
00:05 personal performance as well.
00:06 Yes, of course. I think it's clichéd that it's all about the team and the result and
00:10 it's true. I think today we showed what we've tried to do from the start of the season.
00:15 We've kept the ball well, we knew the conditions were going to be hot and if we could keep
00:18 the ball moving they would get tired. I think it showed. Obviously, second half we ran away
00:22 with it and that's what we try to do. It's always good when it comes off.
00:26 You mentioned it's hot there. How hard is it to adapt to a day like this when it's so
00:31 hot?
00:32 It's tough.
00:33 And it keeps up the intensity as well.
00:34 Yes, I tell you. When you're ginger it's even worse. It's tough but that's why you have
00:40 to keep the ball as well as you can. We try and do that even if it's cold, it's rainy,
00:45 it doesn't matter. That's what we want to do. We want to keep the ball, keep the opposition
00:49 moving and then those gaps open up and we have the players that can punish the opposition.
00:52 You're one of quite a few new signings this year. Are you surprised how quickly you've
00:57 all seemed to have gelled? From the outside looking in it looks like you've been playing
01:01 together for years.
01:02 No, not really because when I signed I already knew the players had good football and brains,
01:08 they are good technical players and obviously the manager's record speaks for itself. I
01:12 knew as soon as I came in I was coming into a good team. Like I say, we all want to play
01:17 the same way and the team's been built for the style of play. So it's not so much of
01:23 a surprise for us.
01:25 Scott talked about the owners and the credit he gave them for bringing you in. Can you
01:31 tell us a little bit about the move because it's quite a big move for you and your family
01:34 I believe coming down.
01:35 Yes, it's been a few years since I've lived away from home and when I moved and went part-time
01:41 it was based around living back at home and being with my family. So I had four very good
01:45 years living back home and I got to the point where I'm 28 now and this move came up and
01:50 I was excited about it. Getting back into the league, getting into a team that I knew
01:54 was going to be a good team for me and a good fit for me. So yes, I took a risk and obviously
01:59 it's a gamble and obviously I thank the club for taking a gamble on me as well. But yes,
02:06 I've settled in really well, the lads have been great with me and obviously if we can
02:09 keep playing like this everyone's going to be happy because it's going to be a successful
02:13 season.
02:14 Can you just talk a little bit about Scott Lindsay as well, what kind of coach is he
02:17 and how is he developing your game?
02:19 One of the first meetings that I had with him he said, "I know you're 28, you've been
02:23 in the game a long time but we want to improve everybody." And I think I've been here just
02:27 over a month now and my game's improved massively. It's similar but a different style of play
02:33 to what I've been used to at Gateshead in terms of possession base is the same but the
02:37 roll-outs are different and movements are different. He's explained that and really
02:41 helped me develop and understand what he wants from his 10s and then obviously the partnership
02:46 with Nick as well, he's really helped to harness that and then obviously us two playing off
02:50 Dan has been massive. So yes, for me it's just all about absorbing as much information
02:55 as I can and he explains it really well so even someone as daft as me can understand
03:00 it.
03:01 And very quickly, your second goal, one of the best you've scored do you think?
03:04 Yes, I think so. I think I scored a similar one in pre-season this year so obviously when
03:08 I get in there I feel confident and it just opened up lovely so it's one of those very
03:13 nice when it hits the back of the net that's for sure.
03:15 Absolutely, thanks Dan.
03:16 Thanks.
03:17 So you've got your first competitive goal for Crawley away to Stockport and you've got
03:23 your first home goals today. How does that feel to do it in front of the home fans now
03:27 instead of obviously away?
03:28 Yes of course, it's the same as when you join a new club, you want to impress your team-mates
03:33 and the manager but you also want to show the fans what you're all about as well so
03:37 obviously there was a good number at Stockport but obviously even more here today so it was
03:41 great to get off the mark and show what I can do.
03:44 On to Trammere next week, after having back-to-back wins, what's the mood like in the training
03:49 camp? Is it always good when you have back-to-back wins to go off into the next game? Is that
03:54 always something good going into training?
03:55 Yes, well I think the way the environment that we've built, it doesn't really matter
03:59 obviously on the back of a 6-0 at Swindon we all wanted to put things right straight
04:03 away. We got a semi-positive result away at Stockport because we thought we should have
04:08 won that game so although on the face of it a point is a good result away from home I
04:12 think we really wanted to win that. And then obviously the lads on Tuesday were brilliant
04:16 and then again today we've really performed well so it's all about taking that momentum
04:20 into Trammere and it'll be the same whether we've won, whether we've lost, whether we
04:23 draw, the next game is the most important and we'll be focused for it.
04:27 Cheers. Thanks.
