00:00I'm Denise Baker Wright and the Nguyen. So I took over the pub on the 30th of July. This has been our local for the past year, year and a half. And I basically got approached by the landlord and landlady and they said like, I think you'd be really good at it. Why don't you give it a go? And I was like, no, I don't know how I feel about it. I've been so young. And then I put my application in with Admiral and they accepted it. And then the process just started from there.
00:25They've been so supportive, especially like my family. They've been amazing. Like all four parents are here. They've all been helping, cheered me on or, you know, helped me when I've really doubted myself. No, I can't fault them at all. And my friends have just been incredible. My friends were quite shocked. They were like, that's a big thing to do. And to be fair, so was everyone else. But I knew it was a big thing, but I just wanted to give it a go, give it my best shot and just see how I got on really. Yeah, the customers are really respectful. They've all just been so supportive as well, especially with me being so young.
00:54They've like really helped me out. Everyone faces challenges being a landlord, a landlady. Doesn't matter if you're 18, you're 60, you're going to all face the same challenges with costs of living and everything. But I don't think I've faced any because of my age.
01:07I'd say the best part is definitely being with the customers, you know, seeing different customers, but also like making that bond with the regulars, the locals.
