Sunak pleased with arrest of escaped terror suspect

Rishi Sunak has expressed gratitude towards the public and police for their efforts in capturing 21-year-old Daniel Khalife, who had escaped from Wandsworth prison on Wednesday while facing terror charges. The Prime Minister said he was "very pleased" with the news that Khalife was apprehended in Chiswick on Saturday morning. Report by Etemadil. 00:10 police officers for their fantastic work over the past couple of days
00:13 but also to the public who came forward with an enormous number of
00:16 leads to help the police in their inquiries. It is good news that we
00:20 have recaptured the person concerned. As people already know,
00:25 the Justice Secretary has initiated an inquiry into the
00:27 circumstances of his escape and that work will continue. This is
00:32 obviously very welcome news and again my thanks to the police but
00:34 also to the public for their help.
